Mini 14 Pro Mag

As others have said... ProMag's are a hit or miss magazine... across the board.

Frankly, I am surprised they are still even in business.

The utter lack of QC is the one thing you can count on with ProMag.

ProMag is a brand designed to separate those who don't do basic research from their money.

I bought a couple of pro-mag M14 mags years ago because they were cheap. I will never buy that brand again. I would rather pay more for quality OEM or USGI mags.

It's funny - I bought a couple of dozen ProMags for the Mini14 back in 2009-2010 and have had nothing but excellent service from them. I even bought replacement Ruger followers to install in them, based on the conventional wisdom of the time being that the Ruger followers were mo' better, but I've never felt the need to make the swap.

While my experience with ProMags in anything else has been poor, I'm happy with the Mini14 ProMags.

Well, I think I know where this story ends.

With respect to the OP's concern about magazines for his Mini-14, Magpul doesn't make Mini-14 magazines.

I suggested that Magpul make mini 14 mags as the Shot Show this year. They laughed at me! then I saw they were making Mags for Glocks,,, like anybody needs them.

Nope Ruger Mags are about the only reliable alternative. I have some Tapco 30 rounders but they don't work all that well either and I will probably send them back.

When I purchased my Mini 30 -- I never noticed for months the mag bottom was stamped Mini 14.
When I got around to calling Ruger they must have made a
lot of them at one time.
The guy asked me""does it work-"yes"--then keep on using it & don't look at the bottom
They would not replace it.
Other than that I purchased many guns from Ruger & never had to call them ever again
