"Assault Life"...

Sounds like a rock band. Someone is trying to be provocative. Probably has nothing to do with guns, per se, or, at any rate, the owner of the truck is not a "gun person." I would like to think that most gun owners would not disparage themselves in this way.

Tacky stuff...gettin' tackier (not the same as tactical)

He probably bought a DPMS over the weekend and is now a tactical Expert. I know guys that pick up their first dirt bike and splatter FOX stickers all over their truck right away and start talking about doing jumps and wheelies all of a sudden (not that they have the skills to do any of that). It's the same thing, just tools doing what they do best.

It's about the same as the Tapout t-shirt (and window stickers) that the tools started wearing when MMA got big.

I don't gun sticker my stuff either - but a lot of people do, and then they also wear things with Brands on them. How much stuff do we see on the street, shopping, dining etc that would best be left at the range, a concert, the race track, or in the Mall?

It's America, people do exactly as they please. They will likely remind those who would tell them what to do or not do that they are not their supervisor.

And they would be right.

Just another person that doesn't care if they inflame the anti-gunners. In fact, that could be the goal.

I've known people like that (not just gun people) and that's just the way they roll.

Not a rock band. It's a parody just like Tirod wrote about.

Here on the gulf coast there are lots of weekend fishermen that have Salt Life stickers on the back of their trucks. This Assault Life is relatively new and an obvious take from Salt Life.

I didn't catch that, but I'd say you're right.

Those "salt life" stickers annoy me too, and I'm amazed how many of those stickers I see here in Cincinnati. I tell my wife, "going to Hilton Head Island for a week and thinking it's cool doesn't mean you now live the "salt life"!!

Maybe even "bath salt life"...

Seriously, it very rare I see a sticker I think is great. Same with tattoos.

I don't think that sticker paints the owner in a good light.

If you have high blood pressure, it could be a NoSalt life.
but if you don't, it doesn't have to be a NoSchmaltz life

Whatever, to each their own. I personally don't prefer stickers or bumperstickers or whatever but I certainly don't feel it is my place to judge others like some on here.

Hardly the worst thing I've seen stuck on the back of a vehicle.

I also don't believe it paints gunowners in a "bad light".

I have never seen a "Salt Life" sticker, but the parody explanation sounds plausible to me.

Now I get it...... A take off on "salt life". I live around some big, open water (Lake Ontario) but it's all fresh water. Maybe that's why I haven't seen a salt life sticker despite all the boats, fishermen and their trucks. There's a big rock salt mine in western NY state though, and some of the guys who work there would probably go for salt life stickers for their vehicles.

I put that sticker up with the TAPOUT folks.

This is America and people have the right to express themselves in a manner as tacky, uncouth, and cliche as they please.

And it also affords me the right to mock them mercilessly for their lack of good taste and undeveloped sense of humor.

Tasteless and tacky but as long as they don't slap one on my truck, it's all good.

Yeah, never been a big sticker fan, this one? Meh, to each their own, living in a coastal area I see Salt Life stickers all the time. I guess it's kinda nice to see something different.
