This one and my wife's original style BLR in 308 will both clover leaf 3 shots at 100 when fed their favorite loads. Someday I hope to stumble across one of the steel frame 81's in 7mm08.

And only 6 days into the season. Nice job.

I’m headed out first thing in the morning, to Carbon County, to do some hunting with my brother and dad for the next few days. Can’t wait.

Well actually no , not 6 days, shot him on the 3rd morning, only messed a bit on the first morning for a couple of hours, didn't go out the second day, raining and blowing.
You must be headed down for elk in the Madres or the Shirleys?

Don't you know, it's impossible to shoot them because of bad triggers. lol

I've never experienced a problem with my Belgian produced model, but internet rumors have them as practically unshootable. I don't get it, the trigger in mine is better than several other rifles I have.

Best woods gun ever, yet still able to reach out when necessary.

My BLR's are some of my favorite hunting rifles. Got a new, to me, one in 7 Mag - will be hunting with it next week. Post some pics, I hope.

LOL, yeh I've been reading that for years and years.. Good thing I had these BLR's for a decade or so before I had the internet, I might not of ever bought one. ROFLMAO

Don: Thanks for the sentiment. I retired in 2009 and have spent the majority of my time hunting and fishing - the rest I kinda wasted. I am truly lucky to have kept my health and my love for the outdoors. I have taken a couple of bucks already this fall with my muzzle loader. Starting Wednesday, the BLRs, Savage 99s and Model 71 get to accompany me on my hunts. Life is good!
