Anybody have any experience with this brand? They say they use 1095 high carbon steel, is this a carbon steel or a form of stainless?

I like the looks of some of their models, and the pricing is reasonable. Seems like there's a lot of hand work in the production. Curious if anyone here has one. http://stknives.com/

I don't know much about the maker in question, but 1095 is most definitely not stainless. It is an tough steel often used on hard use outdoors type knives.

I wish I did. They have my curiosity up, as well.

I do have experience with 1095 (and like it) but heat treat is everything. 1095 from one maker might not perform as well as 1095 from another, due to different HT.

1095 HT'd by Rowen is a definite win. Ya just have to be very careful because the edge (and anywhere there is etching) will rust up on you, if not cared for.
