Glock Peening

Howdy all. I was looking at my buddies glock and and asked him about his glock 22 slide gen 3. I saw the marks in it. He said it was peening and it's normal. I don't know Glocks. Just wanted the experts input.

My 9mm Glocks don't have that. But maybe the round count isn't high enough or maybe it's a 40 thing. Curious to see what others have to say.
 
Yes, it's normal and that is not my opinion, but the official Glock stance on the subject - it's just the nature of the design that allows the locking block to contact the slide on recoil. BTW, if you just Google "Glock slide peening" you will get plenty of information about that issue.
