Hello folks. I'm looking for a little help here. I've moved and just unpacked a box of parts from my reloading room. There's a part that I don't recognize and can't remember where it goes. Any help would be appreciated.

The first pic is against a ruler for scale.

The second pic shows the little hook.

Thanks!

What equipment do you have that it could possibly be associated with? Sharing what equipment you have would help people narrow down what it could be and where it should go.

For my part, I have never seen anything like it.

Thanks. I started to mention that but got sidetracked looking for a ruler. I have a couple of Dillon 550s and a Square Deal B. RCBS Rockchucker. All kinds of dies and case prep stuff. Lyman, RCBS, and Lee Powder throwers.

Perhaps a bent depriming pin?

Look at your other resizing/depriming dies to see if they look the same.

Doesn't look bent under the magnifying glass. Looks like it's made that way. May be powdercoated too. No threads.

Maybe it's a tool to check inside the rifle case for the ring at the base before case head separation occurs.
Ding ding ding that's it. It goes to the RCBS Case Master.

Thanks for jogging the old memory.

I haven't been hanging around here much lately due to my work / life balance getting out of whack but this is what makes this site one of the best. Great group of folks always willing to help a buddy out.
