I have never had one break as quickly as yours. Mine have lasted years and thousands of rounds before they needed replaced.

I mean this one lasted almost 3k. I read on the ruger forum that if you let the rebound spring get/stay dirty that it will break sooner. Maybe that contributed to its early failure here.

All Mark IV are on recall for pre mature firing Took my SS Mark IV Hunter and tried to make it fire but I am returning it too Ruger they sent me a postage paid how to do it I got a letter first

Where did you get this information? My understanding as per the Ruger website is that only pistols made prior to June 1, 2017 require servicing.

I'm pretty sure the new ones aren't subject to the recall......(I think?) If you put in an aftermarket fire control group that solves the problem too.....please correct me if I'm wrong.

When you've seen them fail do they break in a similar way with just a coil or so off an end? Or do they break more clean in half?
