Still looking for a shotgun

She finally made the journey to my house (Remington V3). Took her apart and cleaned her up. Boy, not much to a shotgun. To me the gun feels very light. Mind you, I have only a muzzleloader to compare to.

Very excited to try it out. Doing some scouting in the morning, then off to the range. I have a box of birdshot so I can just shoot and get the feel for it. I also bought four different turkey loads so I can try to find the best combination. Maybe go visit the folks on Sunday at the skeet range and find out what that is all about. Looking forward to a sore shoulder. Pete

If you're getting a sore shoulder or cheek bruising, then the gun doesn't fit. If yours comes with shims, you might have to adjust them.

Pumps awkward for skeet?! My Ithaca 37 was built as a skeet gun (in 1953).

Now, I'm just learning the game, but guys I shoot with use everything but single shots for skeet, and I think some of them could make that work, too.
