...shorten the firing pin channel liner on a Glock 40 at the local GSSF match. There was a slight narrowing of the firing pin channel at the very front and with a stock length channel liner installed it was acting as a partial obstruction of firing pin channel and causing misfires. I cut between an 8th and a 16th of an inch off the back end of the plastic part using my SpyderCo Worker. The plastic liner was very thin and hard, but the blade was sharp enough that it cut cleanly without causing the plastic to crack.

The match armorer installed the part and the gun testfired with no issues.

So what did you do with your EDC today?

Cut tape on cardboard boxes to break them down for recycling. Pry stubborn .22 casings out of a rental autoloader after failure to extract(s).

Temporary repair of TV/Internet cable that got mangled. Honorable mention to some steel wire and electrical tape.

Ooh, a G10 Worker.
Nice little knife once you break the sharp edges on the thumbhole and loosen the clip a little bit. Initially the clip was so tight that when combined with the grippiness of the G10 handle, it was very difficult to clip and unclip from the pocket.

Anyway, I like the blade shape of the Worker. That needle-fine tip is useful for lots of things. Also, the false edge, with just a little bit of work, makes a good letter opener and is useful for scoring tape.

I used my kershaw yesterday to start an orange peel and cut athletic tape. Today? I got all day!

To open yet another Lego box with my Higonokami... Life ain't easy when you have a 5 year old dedicated Lego collector living with you.

P.S. It's all his mom's fault - the only "toys" he sees from me are books...
P.P.S. Wait, I did sharpen a couple of coloring pencils for him.
