Thinking of Dave McC

I was fortunate to be Dave's guest at PG on a number of occasions while I was working inside the beltway. He and the guys in the The Geezer Squad were gracious to a fault and always a lot of fun to shoot with. While I never achieved Geezer Squad status, I was always welcome when I could get away for a round or two.

I miss Dave too....

From what I recall (and I may be wrong) Dave's words of wisdom opened up the benefits of using standard-length magazine tubes (i.e. no extensions) on fighting shotguns for me. They balance and point extremely well and still hold enough ammo to get the job done.

Very sharp man and I wish I'd have met him. One of the greats in the shotgun world. I bet him and Louis Awerbuck are running a great range up there.

Everything I know about fight shotguns I attribute the base of knowledge Dave gave me.

Dave was awesome and a great font of knowledge. He and I shared a lot of similarities and ideas "way back when"

I never met Dave -but have carefully read everything ever written by him.... and it's all first rate and to the point - every time...

I enjoyed his writings and all his posts,never met him but no doubt the best of the best in the shotgun world

So say we all.
