So I had decided awhile back to get a P365 [when my gun store was able to get one in], but then later started hearing about the issues with broken triggers and firing pin tips [due to primer drag]. I was kinda bummed about it because I liked the idea of a 10 round magazine in such a small frame. I even went to a gun store where you could rent one and thought it shot pretty well. Not the greatest of groupings, but not bad. After hearing the issues, though, I scrapped the idea.

I decided to just get a G43. Found one on gunbroker for a killer deal [at least in my opinion],...A G43, unfired, Meprolight night sights [which I really like!], and a count of 6 magazines. Shipped and paperworked for $480.

After I won the auction, I ordered 2 of the Taran Tactical +1 baseplates, and a Taran Tactical connector. Installed the baseplates right when they came in. Love them. The connector, on the other hand, was not working. I really didn't notice any difference with the pull of the trigger [which really isn't bad...I'll get to that in a bit], but several times doing the rack/dry fire thing, it would not reset the trigger. It's going back to the seller!

Anyway, I took it to the range yesterday and was pretty happy with the way it shot. Trigger feel is pretty much typical Glock [not my favorite at all], but was able to get at least a "smaller than fist" grouping initially, then with a last 5 shot grouping about an 1 1/2 inch [all at 7 yards]. Very happy with that considering the size of the gun and the Glock trigger thing. So I am happy with my choice of carry gun. OH,....no firing pin drag. :)

One question about the G43,.....what's the small half circle cutout on the back of the slide?

I'd been considering the Kahr CW45 as a potential upgrade from my PF9, but never found one for the price I considered "right", and then the news about the P365 came out. I was indeed intrigued, and decided to wait until I could get one in hand for such a price.

A few weeks ago, however, a CW45 popped up, first in my local gun store, and then in my safe. So, the P365 is out of contention (for now.) Still, ten-plus rounds of 9mm is attractive, but, if I'd really been hankering for such a carry piece over my PF9, I'd already own a P11 or a SCCY by now.

I chose the G43 over the other small 9mm's. I like it better than the Ruger and Kel-Tec that I had. My friend at the LGS carries one, and he was so happy to sell me one that he threw in an extra mag for free.

I recently got a G26, basically the same pistol but double-stack. I will probably carry it OWB under an outer shirt this winter instead of the G43, but I like them both a lot. I shoot both of them better than the other small 9mm's I've shot. Neither has malfunctioned at all. My friend liked my G43 so much that he bought one "for his wife". That's funny to me, because he's been carrying it ever since he bought it. :)

Bought both [ and a few more smaller 9's ] and the G-43 is 3 ounces lighter and actually 'feels' lighter than the P365.

BUT the 10 round magazines and the 12 round mags give the P365 a slight edge to it over the G-43.

I have worn both and then went back to the G-23 as the world is NOT a friendly place.

And if heaven forbid I need either of them, the G-23 beats the smaller guns a good deal better. [ IMNSHO ].

Have also worn the G-43 in ankle rig and its a REAL CCW gun.and also as a BUG.

The G43 is an excellent choice! Mag extensions were a great idea. I carry a Springfield XDS more often than not. But, I almost went with the G43 for pocket carry, etc.

I like the G43. No surprise there. In my hands it doesn’t shoot as good as it bigger brothers. No surprise there either. But I do like the way it shoots.

I have dumped the Tarren Tactical mag extensions and settled on Peirce plus ones. They just fit my hands better. Great little gun.

I've had a Glock 43 for three years. I like the idea of the Sig P365, but the early reports of issues and the rolling upgrades have me sticking with the bird in the hand until the P365 is proven both reliable and durable over the long haul. I had a Sig P938 before the Glock 43. It went to the factory twice and was replaced. Sig did more changes after mine was replaced. The replacement was OK, but I felt that I had to treat it like a sports car and not a pickup truck. I put 2500 rounds through the Glock the first year. I kept the round count low with the P938. I am going to wait a couple of years before considering the P365.

While I prefer a 19, the 43 has been a great option for days when wardrobe or activities don't allow for the larger gun. I was especially pleased to find something I could take with comfortably for longer runs. I usually carry mine with a Pierce +1 and a backup Viking Tactics +2 magazine.

I'm curious about the 365 but share your concerns. As bad as the quality of the pistols themselves is SIGs handling of problems with the this pistol, the 320, and the gun that the air marshals selected about ten years ago. Their approach seems to be denial/silence and then a quiet "voluntary recall." Mistakes happen, but that reaction is irresponsible IMO and inspires neither trust nor confidence.

If you’re still not happy with the trigger on the 43, try a reduced power safety plunger spring and polish up the safety plunger.

The G43 is a great concealed carry option due in part to the very small grip making the pistol easy to hide . The accuracy is excellent, I attribute this to the quality of the rifling and barrel . I'm going to give Sig plenty of time to get the bugs out before I consider the P365. The Glock product is fully serviceable right out of the box. Just add your favorite night sights. The Trijicon "bright and tough" are on clearance sale now and feature a very compact rear sight for those going for the most snag free.

I would say the overall quality on my P-365 is very good. But I guess it is how you define quality. They are no doubt having some teething pains.
