I have a T/C Scout Carbine I have had for several years, never shot, and have mostly used for getting attention at gun shows. Carrying it around, it's amazing how many table holders will ask "What kind of Winchester is that?"
I finally got around to trying to disassemble the thing, and I am stuck at the point of trying to remove the actual breech plug.
Getting it to this point is no problem:
Taking out what T/C calls a breech plug, but would be more accurately called the nipple (#4 in the illustration), is also easy. This is the point at which I am stuck.
I have gone to the T/C web site and there is no easy access to the Scout manual any more.
Once you remove the 'breech plug" there is an approximately 1/4 inch hole through the piece just forward of the 'breech plug' and it appears that inserting a 1/4 inch round bar in it might that piece to be removed but I wanted to see if anyone has disassembled a Scout past this point before I start applying brute force.
