Bucket list Revolvers

I collect rimfire/centerfire pairs,,,
I really only need one more pair to complete my list.

I still need a S&W Model 14 and 17 pair.

I'm so close to retirement that I may never make the expenditure,,,
But it sure would be nice to have them as another boxed set.

Boy, this would be a tough list to keep to a reasonable length!

Just off the top of my head:

S&W model 27 - three and six inch.

S&W kit gun in .22lr.

The model number escapes me at the moment, but S&W made a nice piece in .32/20 I'd love to have with a four inch barrel. Or was that Colt? Now I must go look. Always wanted to pair this with a lever-action in the same caliber.

A S&W model 24 with a three inch barrel.

A Webley, 4", in .455.

That's enough to go on.

I know what you mean. I have a Pre-14 and Pre-17 one liner but no boxes. I shoot them. Obviously the Pre-14 is the bottom one.

DW .357 Max with the 8” vented shroud.
A 5” Registered Magnum from S&W.
A 3” 629 high-polish with the cocobolo finger groove grips.
A 5” .327 mag 7shot...with half lug...in stainless.

Patton's registered magnum , Pancho Villa's Colt Bisley, Dirty Harry and Elmer Keith's model 29s, John Wesley Hardin's Colt SAA, Billy the Kids thunderer and lightning, General Schofield's Schofield. I will need a time machine and turn my trade to thievery though I suspect every man on that list will be more inclined to shoot me than give up their beloved sidearms.

While I'm not a "revolver guy" per say, I do like them them, having said that some on my list are readily available and affordable (some aren't), in no particular order they are:

Charter Arms Bulldog "On Duty"
Mateba Model 6 Unica (AutoRevolver)
Ruger Bearcat Birdshead
Korth Combat
Chiappa Rhino 40DS (maybe a 50DS)
Ruger GP100 .357 4.2in with the wood inlay rubber grips
Heritage Rough Rider (probably the combo version)....I know, super inexpensive, look at them every time I'm in a shop, have yet to buy one for no reason in particular.

Howdy Again

45 Colt at the top, shipped 1906.
44-40 at the bottom, shipped 1907.

Those are fine revolvers. Mine was reblued and the markings badly blurred. It shot a foot high and about 18" to the left. Finally, I cut the barrel to 5 1/2" and put adjustable sights on, and added a Herrett Shooting Master grip. It goes with me whenever I'm in the woods, afoot or on horseback.

I think I gained an entry to this thread. If y’all don’t bid it up I might end up in trouble again.

I really like the looks of the stainless rossi guns. I REALLY like the looks of this one. If I were in the market for a k frame still... I need to forget about it.

Wow, there's some great guns listed in this thread! It's not helping me decide which should be first on my bucket list...

Let's see, my list would be a 4" 38/44 Outdoorsman, though I might "settle" for a 6" one like Driftwood has. What a beautiful firearm! I don't know if I want it a little rough around the edges as a shooter, or completely original to keep as a collectible. And given my relatively young age, I think I have plenty of time to see if I can wear out a .38-caliber N-frame.

Also on the list: 4" S&W Highway Patrolman, like grampa's. (It's still in the family, but the more, the merrier.)

A S&W 625 .45 ACP Mountain Gun like my dad had in the late 90s/early 2000s. Great fun at the range and I've never seen another one like it in person.

Like aarondhgraham, I like matched sets of rimfire/centerfire revolvers. I completed my 4" K-frame set with a Model 15-4 a few weeks ago:

Goes with the Model 18 I bought on impulse almost 10 years ago now, knowing absolutely nothing about what it was other than I WANT!

The 6" collection is started with my no-dash, 4-screw Model 17:

Which means now I have to keep my eyes open for a matching Model 14. I'd really like to find a 4-screw model, but I'll be OK with anything clean, functional and less than 2 car payments.

Also on the keep my eyes out for list, a 4" Model 17-6, with the full-lug barrel that matches my 586:

Oh, and I might like a Colt Official Police and a S&W M&P some day as well. Along with a Colt Single Action Army. And if a nice S&W Schofield crossed my path on the right day...

Thankfully my girlfriend is a Jeep person, so she understands how the project will be never end! o_O

I'm going to add one to my S&W Model 17 with 8 3/8" Barrel.
S&W Model 617 with 6 or 8 3/8" Barrel. I will want to mount a red dot on it and could use the Weaver no drill mount on a stainless frame. Could use it on a blue frame but eventually it will scratch/rub the finish. The no drill mounts work surprisingly well so I'd opt for that option versus drilling and tapping the frame.

I've met few revolvers that I didn't like so the list approaches being interminable..... But tops on the wish list. Ruger Redhawk 5 inch in 45 Colt, S&W 38/44 Outdoorsman, Charter Arms Pathfinder .22 3 inch, H&R 999.....and an I frame .38 S&W snubnose.
