Well I'll be damned. Was always going off what a seemingly knowledgeable shooter told me a long time ago. Guess that was wrong. I still use skeet choke, but now I know. Edited above for accuracy

He may have been referring to skeet 2 which is also called light modified. It is between IC and M in constriction. For me it’s the best all around choke.

SK2 is NOT LM. SK2, aka "Skeet Out" is .008. LM is .015

I just did a little research and with some choke companies skeet 2 and LM are the same and with some makers skeet 2 is between C and IC. So I guess we are both correct.

The chart I posted is from Trulock Chokes .... and Skeet 2 is the same as Light Modified ...

So I guess it depends on who makes the chokes you use as to how it is marked .....

I can tell you this Trulock Skeet 1(.005) and Skeet 2(.015) take care of 99% of my shot shooting ...

So nobody is 100% correct ...as Skeet 2 can be different ... depending on the maker ...

The Trulock basic choke information page should answer most of your questions.

https://trulockchokes.com/basic_choke_information.html

Most importantly though, it is your responsibility to determine how your Gun/Choke/Load patterns - hence their advice:

"Keep in mind that this chart should be used as a starting point only. Select the choke and pattern it. Change chokes or loads as needed to get the pattern you want. If you do not pattern your gun please feel free to accept this chart as being infallible."
