I found this on a news aggregator site I visit for laughs, and it came up on a thread savaging the Remington bolt pistol. Usually my Google-fu is strong, but I couldn't find much except the same pictures. Here it is, and color me intrigued if it is a real thing:

It's claimed to be a .44 Mag or .454 revolver over a 30-'06 barrel. The maker is claimed to be Franchi, if that helps.

I suspected as much. Sort of like Deckard's gun in Bladerunner then. Pity, something like that would make a great brush pistol.

Oh boy...an 06 bottom barrel? I had a .357 Herrett that would shear off the rear sight screws after a coupla rounds, cant imagine what an 06 would be like. But in the movies you can get away with anything.

I was thinking, which sometimes is a bad thing, about what cartridge would make more sense there, considering there's already six ridiculously powerful rounds on tap, yet still compact enough not to tear your arm out of its socket.
.45-70 comes to mind first, then some of the .50 straight-wall brush rounds. A shotgun barrel would be ideal if it didn't make it an NFA item, but rifling might alleviate that issue.
It would probably require an action similar to the M203, and while difficult, it might be possible to figure out a way to get a striker and pin in there somewhere, but I come up short on the trigger. Maybe it's best this remains a fantasy item.

357Max would be a good caliber for the extra barrel. Short OAL(allowing for more barrel), works well with short barrels and is a change of pace compared to 454 Cassul.

For Whatever its Worth Department: The .30-06 in a handgun is not so horrendous as one might imagine. I have never fired a .30-06, but have shot handguns in .308 and in .30-40 Krag. Despite their kick in rifles, they are tamed down in handgun use. Remember a .44 or .45 revolver pushes a 240 ~ 350 grain bullet, while the '06 launches a 150~180 grain bullet. Don't misunderstand me, the kick is there, just not the vicious recoil you might imagine. Up the bullet weight, and then the kick gets more vicious! Such as a 500 gr. .45-70 round.

Years ago I visited my daughter in Ohio, and some gunnies were pals with J.D. Jones and they brought along some of his barrels for the Thompson Contender and Remington XP-100 pisotls and introduced me to some of those whompers. The most vicious was the Contender with the 500 gr. cast .45-70 load. Since then he developed the .50-70 which I missed.
