Cuz your charging handles are on the wrong side. :p Yeah, MOE "SL"

I learned to shoot with 10-22’s, and got so used to it with garands, semi auto shotguns, ect... that nothing feels right to me without a handle on the right side of the bolt. Honestly I don’t think I would have ever gotten an AR unless I had found out they made side charging ones.

Guess I can't upload video, but the Echo II works as advertised, and was easy to install if you follow Fostech's 3-part video on youtube - painless. Ripped off a few yesterday da happy switch mode, and the trigger isn't terrible on semi auto mode either (better than a mil spec but not great).

First ever, built mostly with donated parts, waiting for a gas block and sights. Aero upper and handguard, Bear Creek 223 Wylde barrel, Sabre Defense Industries, (Read Cav Arms), one piece poly lower, mostly a Stag Arms lower parts kit with a few non pedigree thrown in, Toolcraft Nitride bolt carrier group, AR Stoner gas tube with Gieselle Super Gas Block en route, as well as a flat coil spring to replace the standard one. This is the lightest rifle I have ever held. I don't think the few parts that will be added on will add any weight to it. With the old poly lower I don't think I would call it my warfighter rifle, but it will probably do just fine for Wile E Coyote.
I haven't fired an AR since 1984, and that was an M16A1 on a NG range. This is going to be interesting.

Finally got around to putting a modern scope (Leuopold 1.5-4x20mm) on the post ban Bushmaster XM15-E2S with thousands of rounds down the 16.5" HBar barrel with a 1:9 twist:

Tried out six different types of target ammo at 100 yards from a bipod rest after zeroing the scope with ball ammo. Three types of ammo gave good results:

Three gave very good results:

I was having so much fun I forgot to keep track of which target went with which ammo

Will just have to go out and do it all over again, this time with a more powerful scope and a pencil :)

@armoredman Looks good. I have a factory built Sabre Defence SR-15 that has been very reliable, has many rounds through it. It uses the same Cav. MK II lower. Also bought a GWACS made poly lower for a steal a couple years ago, the company that bought out Cav Arms. I haven't exactly torture tested mine but both have held up just fine.

I posted the Sabre in this thread years ago, page 12.

I used a Bison Armory 16” Scout barrel, Troy 11” battle rail, Aero upper, PSA “Iraq” series lower, CMMG 2 stage trigger with yellow springs, Magpul ASC-L stock, Nikon 3-9x40 scope, and Redfield mount.

This is my main deer rifle, and it’s deadly accurate. I’m planning on passing it down to my 12 year old daughter in the near future when she graduates from her single shot 243.

I had resisted them for years, but at these prices couldn't not gift myself an AR this Christmas. Plum crazy complete lower with BCA mlok upper and bcg in 223 wylde. Surprisingly nice trigger, fit together well and operates smoothly. Right around $300 including shipping and a free transfer.

* edit fixed picture :)

Just finished my son's Christmas present, Deadpool themed AR. HE's going to flip when he opens it Tuesday!

Wow. I'm one of those conservative types that adamantly thanks that black rifles should remain black. I don't even like olive or fde on ARs.

I got to say I think your Deadpool red rifles are beyond cool. I'm a big fan of the Deadpool movies, so I'd probably freak out too if I got this as a gift! Well done.

Nobody has been posting AR photos lately...

I get the feeling many are getting low key and are scared to anymore. Also might explain why hardly anyone has entered the 10 shot challenge when the AR is suppose to be and is the most popular rifle at the range where still allowed.
