Well unless ups has a delivery issue u should be able to play with it bout the 3rd. :D

My wife picked up the stock from the mail yesterday, and I got it installed today while my MIL was watching the kids (thanks Mom!).

I did want to get weights of the components and do a bit more of an inspection, but I was tired and I really wanted to get it installed and play with it a little.

So here it is, and I will get better photos.

Fit and finish on this stock are extremely tight and we'll done.

Weight is about the same as the factory stock.

Sneaky little red gripped GeePee snuck in there too......

All in all, I'm thrilled with this stock so far. It's classier, stiffer, and fits better than the factory, or the boyds, stock. The only down side is the wrist, it's a little on the thick side.

yup looks great. the photos really show off the red, hope u get used to the grip. b&c may have made the grips a little bigger, that was one off the only complaints i read over the years that they wanted a bigger grip like the hs precision. i like a smaller grip myself. like i said it's going to take some shots to get the stock to self bed, you will know when it;s done. you may not get to good of groups until it bed it;s self.

If it will help you at all here's a picture of my 700 stainless with a B&C Medalist stock. I believe the stock is black with gray. If I were to do it over I would pick the Olive with black color.

LoonWulf, it looks great! You'll have to go easy on GeePee, it just wanted some of the attention. :)
Needy little critter, always wants to be held too....:D

I may contact b&c and see if it would hurt the stock to thin the grip, and if not, and they are willing to repaint it, I may do so. It's not a big deal tho, It's not quite as curvy as I'd like, but fits my hand just fine.

I was planning on skim bedding the receiver. You think I should hold off till it's settled in?

yes i would shoot it some. read the paper i came with. on my remington there are letters on the bottom of the action. after the 50 or so i shot the first day you can now read those letters in the aluminum. call b&c i remember hearing once they would recoat the stocks.

have u worked up a load for this gun yet, or are u just using your go loads from past rifles. i am interested if there was any difference in accuracy between these stocks.i really need to pick up a 7 mag, i love my a-bolt 7wsm but that $14 walmart ammo and cheap brass looks so good lol. .

Been using the same load from a while back.
73-74gr of Retumbo behind a 160 class (usually 162 amax) projectile. It's shot well in 4, 7 mags now.
I am considering looking at a different powder tho as I've got some 168ablrs to play with....buuuuut Retumbo has worked so well so far......

As much as I like the Black and red colors I have to say the grey fit the theme better from my perspective.
Yeah, it probably did. I may hit the barreled action with beads, or do some hand polishing, to see if I can't brighten up the metal withough going overboard.

If not I can always durra coat the barrled action, or change the color of the stock....tho I guess I'm more inclined to change the color of the action, as it would give it a bit more rust resistance as well.

i have found the green scotchbrite pads give a very close finish to my factory ss finish.
