That is some Belfast heat there. @RevolvingGarbage

Innit?

Needs some work, to be honest. There's a fitment issue with the hinge axle (not exactly a pin, don't know the proper name) causing a few degrees of side to side barrel wobble. I need to look more into it but I think the length of the axle needs to be reduced by a few thousandths so the frame is squeezed slightly onto the barrel when the hinge screws are properly tightened.

Whoever had this gun last clearly thought just cranking down hard on the screws was the way to tighten it up, but all they did was booger the screw heads up. I take some issue with the FTR stamp if it left the arsenal this way.

1884 dated mix-master SAA, with an RAC (Rinaldo A Carr, US inspector) replacement cylinder. Probably replaced barrel and ejector housing too.Improperly cleaned. Very likely not a special or issued one, but the RAC mark would date to 1890-1903. The last SAA's were purchased 1890, unsure about the last parts purchase as they were reissued in Philippines.
While not an advanced collector of SAA, I did not know any issue guns were other than 7.5" and 5.5". That looks like a 4/34" model ?

Speaking of Enfields, this one was made in 1936 as No. 2 Mk 1 and later converted to DAO Mk 1*. These grips are awful and without a spur on the hammer it seems to be missing something…

Interesting you find the grips uncomfortable, because I happen to think that little Enfield fits my hand better than just about any other revolver I've held. What size glove do you wear?

I have no idea what department it was used in, but on the frame under the grip is "Badge 3317" or Badge 3371" stamped on it. I can't remember which at 305am. Wasn't carried too much. Obviously, I replaced the grips which were nasty and stinky whitish looking rubber. S&W 28-2 circa 1971.

Top to bottom;
S&W 1917 - 1937 Brazilian Police
S&W Model 15 - Fort Worth PD
S&W Model 66 - Haskell County (KS) Sheriff’s Office
Colt Police Positive - my grandfather’s Issue revolver when he was a game warden in south Louisiana in the 1930’s.

I’ve changed grips on all but the Colt.

The only "issued" one I have is,yep, another Webley. BTW, Anybody know where those metal conversion rings that allow use of .455 ammo in a "shaved" MK VI revolver can be purchased? I haven't looked lately, but several internet searches in past were unsuccessful.

I don't know how I finally found it, because I looked for a long time even before I got my Webley, but here's where I ordered mine:

Some fitting may be required just so you're aware. The chamber holes on mine just barely lined up enough to get six cartridges in.
