Haters gonna hate I guess. No matter to me; MINE works FLAWLESSLY and has; and as soon as I can swing, I'll be buying another and getting rid of some Glocks since I shoot the 365 better, so keep not buying them, it will leave more for me.

I don’t think you’ll be able to buy them all.

G43 in my collection. I want to want a P365, but reports of problems have not yet subsided and in some ways seem to be getting worse. Last month on another forum a gunshop posted that 1/3 had to go back to SIG for slides that were stuck forward or could only be manipulated with a lot of force.

Ever google G43 issues on Glocktalk, etc. ?

I just text my gun guy (LGS) and finally ordered a CZ P10c fde and I asked him about the Sig p365 and how the ones they have sold have held up so far. They are a smaller brick and mortar shop.

He said they didn't really start being able to get them in large quantities until pretty recent but so far nobody has reported any problems so far. He said more than likely he has mostly sold later dated models that should lessen the chance of a bad one but none have had probs.

That makes me feel better about buying one or at least trying one out and seeing how I like it. I still stand by my Glock 43 vote because I KNOW I'm a fan of it and it's reliability. Maybe I'll be a fan of both soon.

Gosh, maybe if we all keep repeating these unverified anecdotal reports from anonymous net-surfers, SIG can take over as the most-bashed brand on the internet (from Taurus, Kimber and lately, Colt).

I do not recall seeing one Model bashed so much. But that could be a good thing. Why do so many care to begin with, folks that not even interested in the gun. Just like Middle school, when a new Beautiful girl moves to town and enters the class. The other's would start on the bashing right away.
When I was a sales MGR. I would alway's tell new reps to never bash the competitor. People who never even considered the competitor now have interest. You opened the door for them.I find the marketing of a gun to be interesting and how the ads, internet etc. can influence a product. The Sig is getting a lot of attention and a lot of folks are just going to hate that. Especially owners of one certain product, (I will not mention the one).
You could also see the same thing going on with the New Mossberg MC1.
I shot the Sig. Not for me. But I found it to be a marvelous gun in features, quality, shoot-ability, recoil mgt. etc. It ran great for the thousand rounds we put through it. BUT it just did not suit me Personally. I am quite happy with what I have. But that is just my preference and has nothing to do with the 365 as far as being a top rated gun. It is. And all the bashing shows it is.

I don't think I've seen so much "bashing" of the p365 as much as I've seen alot of people hearing of troubles.

It's pretty common knowledge that there's at least rumors of the gun having a few problems out of the gate. I'm not sure 1st hand how much truth there is to it but it seems there have been some striker redesign and alot of dead nite sights out of the box etc. Speaking of what someone heard I don't think is "bashing" but yea, lots of tales of problems for the Sig p365.

As far as gun bashing, I don't think Glock fans are going to want to hear it. There are a couple gun related words you just can seem to use without there being a group of people that WILL DEFINITELY come out and bash no matter if they have any experience with them or even if they don't have a real reason for feeling that way about them. Glock is one of them. For another example, 6.5 Creedmoor. Watch threads that mention either and see the bashers come out of the woodwork. I don't figure Glock fans will feel sorry for the little Sig.

Now I've spoke of both plus the p365, this thread will be nuked by morning! Lol

Have handled both of them and prefer the ergonomics and the magazine capacity of the P365 compared to the Glock 43. Will probably wait awhile on the SIG til they have all of the various glitches sorted out.

I have both, shot both a good bit, like both, but I prefer the Sig. Better feel and fit to my hands, no trigger gizmo that hurts eventually, same size/wt. with higher capacity, I shoot it slightly better.

SHOULD HAVE ADDED that my first (of 2 now) 365 had the transfer bar spring aka ‘dead trigger’ problem at about 150 shots. SIG FIXED IT VERY FAST. Considerable shooting of both since, no problems.

If I wanted a Sig 365, and having shot it and liked it, I would not hesitate to get one. Why, because 5 years from now, you will still see internet post like. "I am still waiting to see if they corrected the problems. etc, etc, etc,". In the meantime during that 5 years, thousands of 365 owners have had a grand old time shooting the 365. And with no problems. This is Just the way the internet works.

Both are good pistols and I have shot both. I went with the G43. Feels good in my hands. Nothing wrong with the Sig at all. Just personal preference

I've had both. The Glock was much easier to shoot for me. I just couldnt seem to hit well with the little Sig. Both are now down the road, replaced with another snubbie revolver.

I have a P365 and love it. It loves me too, considering how well it shoots for me. I still think there's witchcraft involved in capacity of the magazines; it's hard to fathom how something so small gives its beholder 11 rounds of 9mm.

I have shot both several times, and prefer the 43 over the P365. Ameriglos, with a Pierce +1 grip extension is perfect for me.

I own and shoot several Glocks of all varieties, but I voted 365. IMO, It’s just a better gun than the 43, based on it’s size, shape, capacity, shootability, and factory sights. It’s a superb little gun, and SIG seems to have worked all the kinks out.

Wouldn't the better comparison be the SIG P365 vs the Glock 43X (not the Glock 43)?
Since the Glock 43X has same magazine capacity as the SIG P365.

Yes, but the 43x is significantly larger than the P365...

It really is no contest. I finally got to fondle both last Saturday and the P365 is superior in every way; size, weight, trigger, feel, sights. People forget that the Sig comes standard with night sights, which would raise the price of the 43 or 43X by $100 or so.

So the $525 price of the Sig is a better deal than the $475 Glock (shelf prices at the LGS I fondled them at).

I got to fondle a G43X about an hour ago at a LGS, and I must say it feels really good in the hand. However, as mentioned, the grip is substantially longer than that of the P365, and so it really is no comparison. The G43X is much closer in size to the Shield with the 8 round magazine.

To you.

Only the sights are superior to me. The size is actually a hindrance to my hands and I prefer the Glock trigger. Both conceal roughly equally (read: need to be belt carried and conceal perfectly in my clothing; I do routinely carry a much larger gun, after all)

So, to me, the 43X is superior for my needs.

When it really comes down to which is better, it’s more of a personal choice. Both guns are well made.
I picked the G43 because I already have one and I’m not a fan of small guns. I have a G48 in my sights right now and think that will be my next gun.
I can see how the Sig would be appealing to guys like Jeb, that like small guns.

Based on the amount of problems being reported about both guns, today I voted g43. If sig gets the 365 to have a long run of just a small amount of isolated issues then the 365 would get my vote hands down. Nobody can deny that the sig p365 has more problems than the Glock 43. Sig proved a lot of things with this little wonder 9, one of which is its hard to get a 9mm that small to be as durable as a larger one. I still don’t know how sig got 10 rounds of 9mm into a grip that small. It shouldn’t be possible
