What’s with the 300 blackout stigma?

In my experience, both of your assumptions are correct.

Because I have no interest in the larger, heavier, different mags, AR-10 platform, especially for a light and handy SBR.
 
Yeah, why would you do that in an overweight AR10 when you could do it with an AR15??? If you had read the thread, you would've found your answers.
