What fun indoor gun things

Ammo cans.

Not the plastic MTM ones that break when handled roughly or dropped. US Military steel surplus ones.

My Sis-in-Law says I have a lot of s*** (you know what). I have found that ammo cans work great for not only transporting stuff but even better for storing small items. It helps to free up shelf space. It also helps me discover where the gaps are in my ammo and shooting supplies and has me searching for items that I know I have somewhere.

I organized several cans this winter. Just finished one up this weekend. I ran out of ammo cans until the next Gunshow so now I am kicking around ideas for painting some of them to make identifying the contents easier.

On the rare times I have the house to myself, especially a weekend and the weather is lousy:
  1. Sorting out my gun cleaning tool box
  2. Sortijng out and cleaning my range bag
  3. Re-loading
  4. Cleaning / checking / admiring my guns
  5. Thinking about what other guns I would like to add to my collection
  6. Considering what stuff can I sell to finance these new guns
  7. Stock polishing
  8. Going back to point 1 and starting again

Now you know why the Good Lord invented pellet guns, long hallways and thick phone books. :D
Or bullet traps rated for 22s, low velocity CB caps and the basement.

Freak out the pets, scare the wife and have a grand old time. :what: The neighbors won't hear you, and the cops won't know. ;)

My pellet traps will stop a .22. :).

That being said there is no powder burning shooting being done cb cap or otherwise in the house. Mostly because I like being IN THE HOUSE.

It's currently snowing outside. I just ordered another gun from my local LGS out of sheer boredom.
This is what I am trying to avoid!
I like to practice shouldering rifles aiming at my archery target in the back yard. I can open the curtain and aim from the back room in heated comfort, usually wait till the kids are napping so they don't think I'm trying to shoot in the house.
