No More Glocks!

For a number of years now I have wondered why people who tout their favorite "other brand" feel the need to bash the Glock. What is it about them that generates such animosity? I don't like a number of modern pistols (i.e. plastic framed & striker fired) but I don't feel the need to constantly tell people that at every opportunity.

If you don't like Glocks, DON'T BUY ONE! And, I won't buy the ones I don't like either.

Now I'm going to get in some dry fire practice with my new carry revolver.

Normally your objection to Glock bathing would be valid, but not in this case. The whole thread topic was about the desirability of Glocks or the lack thereof. This is one time where Glock bashing is the purpose of the thread.

I was just doing some light trolling like so many Glock bashers do. I am honestly indifferent about polymer pistols of any brand. All of the major makers make a decent one after they figure out initial issues, I just happen to be on the Glock wagon.

That's as valid as any reason:) Glocks are good weapons, and a lot of people hate them for impractical reasons. I would have no problem being handed a Glock and protecting myself. They always go bang. I'm thinking about a G21 for woods carry simply because they are robust, affordable, and offer more firepower over the 1911 version.

I’ve throughly enjoyed my G20 SF. Been thinking about a Gen4. The G21 is also great - just make sure you know what grip you need...regular, SF or the interchangeable Gen4. The regular model feels HUGE to me.

Would you all please hold on a little until I grab some beer and popcorn?

Now... Please, do continue...

What he said, and I too don't give a flying poop as to what ANY of y'all carry.

OR even if you choose to not carry !.

Its your bacon,to save or serve !

For me, I tried several Sig products, none of them felt good and none of them were accurate for me. I have Glock 26 gen3, Glock17 gen4 and Glock 19x gen5. The G17 and 19X are the two that I want should I ever really need a gun. My 1911s, Rugers and Baby Eagle are fun to shoot but just fun range guns. And yes my Dan Wesson 1911 I can shoot a bit more accurate but not nearly enough to matter at less than 15 yds. Each person needs to pick what works for them. If you like Sig that is great. Quality wise, it seems that Sig is having some growing pains, esp with P320 and 365.

I have never been a fan of Glock.
IDK bulky, ugly design, pricey, mushy trigger. However, I was aware of their reliability, accuracy and capacity.
Few months ago I tried the XD 9mm 5.25 inch, adjustable sights, FO and 4 extra mags I said why not.
Later HK came up on VP9 with similar offer at great price what a good gun.
Now used Glocks are affordable, so I might get one in 40 or 45 cal. and later in new shape.
No doubt there are good pistols like or not.

If I am not at work I have a glock G42 either on my side in a mini slide holster or in my left front pocket in a pocket holster or if going some place crowded I carry a G29 . At one time you could not give me a Glock gen 4 allows me to get the mag release switched to lefty the grip felt okay. Combined with the fact I switched to glocks because at the time I did Springfield didn't make an XD in 10mm

I am in a long term relationship with a Glock but Miss Siggy keeps whispering my name.

I've gone away from plastic strikers a bit, and when I go back the 19X is my ideal.

But the 320 X Carry sure does feel nice in the hand with the beavertail and flat trigger. If one 320 could tempt me away from Gaston, it'd be that one.
