That is a very nice 66. It appears almost new in the photos. Take care of it and stay away from 110 and 125 grain ammo to avoid the dreaded cracked forcing cone.
Thanks, Yeah i know about the hot loads on pre-locks. It's not new by any means I just cleaned it up real well , a little TLC does wonders

Nice. Just mentioned in another thread that my main revolver is exactly this - a 4-inch 66-2. Love the balance. The trigger is nice, I think smoothed by use (mostly by me - it hadn't been fired much by previous 2 owners).

And if I found one at that price in that condition, I'd have to get it as a "back-up". I mean, you never know. Gotta have back-ups ....

I'm a huge fan of the Model 66 or any K frame for that matter. I have several Model 66s in each of the barrel lengths and only wish that S&W had produced the Mod 19 & 66 with a 8 3/8" Barrel. That's a beautiful example and the great thing about stainless is you can shoot it until the cows come home and the value will never decrease unless you just beat it to death. Even when you get a small scratch, you can just grab a Scotchbrite pad and make it like new again or if you prefer you can polish it like nickel. Great Find.
