Had a few minutes yesterday to shot my old sxs and my cz. I fired about 20 black powder #6 brass shot shell from my newman hammered sxs 12ga, and about 4 mags from the cz carbine. the first mag was just into a small patch of snow about 70 yards away, all hitting it.

I walked down to the +/- 100 tree i shoot with my paper plate custom target, I had no bench and did not want to shoot of the hood of my dads new hyundai. so i laid on a gravel piel. The main trigger is about 3 pound so i did not use the set trigger, the ammo was tula 124 sp. the front sight was bigger the the dot on the paper plate, but i use a hold under aim anyway.

i don't have the best eyes but the sights they use on the new 527m by necg are nice, the rifle only has about a 11'' sight radius. i would lie to get necg peep sight, that will almost double the sight radius. i fired the 5 shot mag, after waling down to the target i was very pleased with this little cz. i forgot to bring my camera to the range but remembered to save the target. it was about 25 or 30 degrees out, i am happy with the height and just need to move the sight a bit to the left. the group was just under .750.

The set trigger is excellent on the CZ. Never ran Tula through mine. Looks like it treated you well.
ya the set is nice mine is around 1.5 pounds the main is about 3. i like the tula because i can get it local and it's about $9.50 for 40, it also does not have the primer sealer. the sealer can make a mess.

Nice shooting. I also went to the range today. It was pleasant. I finished testing my .22LR ammunition just in time, the road to the range is melting and it will be at least a good month before I can go back. Hope you can go back before that!

thanks i was going tomorrow but think we are getting a lot of rain, i may make some split shot sinkers for trout season.

Nice shooting! I recently purchased the youth variant from Buds for about 30% lower cost than the standard version. Mine also now wears the NECG aperture sight, which I like very much. Fun gun, accurate, and inexpensive to shoot for a center fire. Here is mine posing next to my other shorty; a Win 94 compact, and a yard stick to the left. Also a kinda crummy pic of the NECG sight.

i am thinking of getting a 223 youth there like 450 now, i like a shorter lop when hunting. you could put on a 1 inch recoil pad to get length. i just don't now why the are that much cheaper for less the 2 inches of wood.

that's what I paid for mine in 7.62x39, and is still the price on Bud's. Kind of puzzling to me too since CZ stopped making the youth variant in 2018 (according to the CZ website). I did a little online reading about Bud's prices, which can fluctuate and it seems they price things according to availability, so maybe they found a large stash of these and are trying to move them. Or maybe CZ finished production with a big batch of them. Meh, whatever the case, I bought one and really like it. I also really like the NECG sight - very robust and helped tighten my groups.

does it say youth or cribne on the left side of your receiver. id like to get the fs 527 before they are gone in 223 an maybe the american in 6.5G.

I've got the CZ 527 FS in .222 which they no longer manufacture, just recently, also from Bud's. That set trigger is really nice, according to my trigger pull gauge it breaks right at 15oz's each and every time, and I've dropped it intentionally on the heel of the stock with both the safety on and off and it would not release the sear. Incidentally the trigger is very easy to adjust, the difficult part is on the full stock model is getting it released from the stock. The regular trigger is very nice also and breaks right at 3#'s.
