Carry guns with hammers

My two favorites, just because I happen to like them, are the S&W 6906, and the CZ70. But the CZ70 is
heavy and old, it's dinged up, finish gone, really OLD. Nice heavy DA pull, tho, and that Bondian PPK look.
But it's 32ACP, and did I mention that it's, you know, old?

The 6906 has better capacity, 12+1, 9mm, and a bobbed hammer. A very well thought out vintage carry.

That is what I carry. I have carried my Hk P2000 for 4 years now. Love the gun. I have the P2000sk as well, but I like the larger P2000 more.

DA/SA, 9mm... Both of them...
Because I've followed your "wheel of Beretta's" over a few years and gun forums, and recall your hand size issues and you put D springs in all your Beretta's, how's the trigger reach and trigger pull weight compare between the P2000 and 92FS?

Personally, both of my favorite carry guns are Sig p229-based:

p229 RX (top) and m11A1 (bottom). The RX OWB because of the red dot and the p225 IWB because it is internally phosphate coated (I sweat a lot). The RX is carried in a level-2 retention holster (middle).

Oh, it is heavier than a D spring Beretta 92. It's got about an 11 lb or so trigger. But, after years of being used to the Beretta DA pull, it was not too hard to shift over to this heavier trigger.

Trigger reach is fantastic, though. With the Hogue Jr grip, the gun feels fantastic in the hand.

I'm in the same boat as the OP, and due to cost it's a 92 compact or rex 01 compact.

This is something I'll be carrying ed, so I'm leaning towards the beretta based on my training experience.

I'm sure he'll do well regardless of choice!

My only striker guns are my three Taurus Pt111 G2's and my Canik TP9v2. They're all so cheap, I'll probably keep them forever. Lately though, I've been buying steel framed, full sized hammer guns, the latest being a Sig P226 SSE. Fantastic gun, so smooth. I have an alloy framed P226 that has the "normal" trigger and I can't really say that I prefer one of them over the other, but I do like the weight of that stainless frame though.

Got a CZ P07 this last Christmas. Great size and ergonomics and fits my hand perfectly! Converted it from using a decocker to an ambi thumb safety. Still haven't got around to finding a holster for it so I can get it into the CCW rotation.
