I carried 1911's in .45 and 10mm all of my life, until recently; I wanted a higher
capacity and smaller carry gun with enough power to do the job. I didn't want a
double action because the triggers on the smaller pieces are just not good. I
finally chose the Springfield XD Sub Compact 9mm, as it has 13+1, a good trigger
and is accurate and easy to conceal. Also, the HST 147 +P JHP's deliver nice power for SD carry. I tried Glocks, and found them to be lacking in handling and safety.
The documentary was a waste of my time, but I did have time to kill. Buzznrose summed it up, but I agree that the crap about Chicago should have mentioned the failed leadership as well...bait & hook documentary for pushing a very anti-gun narrative as usual.
As to Glock? They're still quite popular and several coalition nations are still using them here in Afghanistan. I own them, shoot them, and carry them; along with other handguns. It's a little disappointing with all the vitriol. Yes there are some fanatic Glock fans, but there are equally a lot of haters as well. Take a deep breath, step back from the computer, take a drink of your favorite beverage...and RELAX; it's just a handgun.
From what I can tell the haters greatly outnumber the fanboys, at least they make more noise.
The OP's question was basically "Is Gaston Glock really a jacka$$ and if so, does that affect your opinion of the product." My answer is no. Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Steve Jobs Jeff Bezos and no doubt countless other entrepreneurs were and are less than wonderful people, and I don't care.
Hey, no bigger butthead than Ray Croc, but how many of y’all have eaten a Big Mac or Fillet of Fish? That guy was a true prick, but he built an empire on mediocre burgers, decent fries, and cold Coke
