Cant wait for the range report, had a couple of stragglers follow me home yesterday also.

I’m a similar Ruger fan, I have more Ruger guns than any other. That SR 1911 is a nice pickup!
Stay safe!

Nice rugers! Been eyeing the sr1911 in 10mm. I keep meaning to buy other brands of handguns (besides glock & ruger) but when i come home and look at what ive bought i realize i did the same thing again and again. That 45 redhawk looks like it would be handy.

I enjoy my SR1911 10mm, I'm sure you'll like yours, zanders. Those are much better looking grips than the crappy rubber ones on the 10mm. The trigger was gritty OOB, but that issue has been resolved. Very nice Ruger trio!

Very nice family you've got there! A terrific looking trio of Ruger handguns!

Yeah the goal on that gun store trip was 1911, the Ruger just happened to be the nicest one in stock (there was a stainless R1 that was nice too but it was about $100 more).

I saw, and those were nice. As far as a range report I'm not sure that I'm qualified for a full blown review of the gun but I can summarize: it points naturally, the trigger pull is light and consistent and the groups are great at 25 meters on the rare group where I don't mess anything up.

Oh and it flings my brass 5-15 feet back and to the right, usually into a pile of 9mm brass, then I get to go Easter Brass hunting.
