I flame the .44 Special ....

nope got on ebay the factory grip is way small and my opinion kinda ugly that's just me

240 gr. Kieth bullet .430 diameter at 980 fps. 5" barrel. 2.5" group at 50 yds. Over a rest from a poor pistol shooter. 44 Spl. Does everything I need to do with a revolver. You can only kill something till it's dead. I don't think much could survive that at any distance I intend to shoot anything. Just thinking out loud. To each his own.

Thanks, I'm a grin'n every time I pick her up. My dear sweet wife bought me that. She caught me eyeballing and fondeling it in the LGS. Bought it right out from under me behind my back! The nerve of that woman!

That 3" option is available but only in stainless at the moment I do believe.
I think any of the three options are way cool. I'm easy though, if it goes bang when I pull the trigger I'm in love.

I'm kinda stuck on the history of the 44 Special. This history includes some fine revolvers from Smith and Colt. I was going through my new stash of molds that included one or more discontinued 44 bullets. Starting from the Keith bullets onward there was indications of active use and experimentation with 44 Special. We are looking at semi wadcutters that predate the 44 Magnum by decades. This experimentation appears to have continued, to some degree, to the present day. I wonder how many of these current 44 magnum revolvers are .in reality, full time 44 Specials?
