I'm not normally interested in Taurus products. Lets just say I've had more than one bad experience. When it comes to revolvers, I'm a S&W guy with an occasional Colt or Ruger dalliance. This one has me interested though. Never seen anything similar. It's a NIB Taurus M455TI 4". Roughly K frame size, 5 shot super light weight .45ACP. 5 moon clips provided. A quick internet search found nothing. Seems a steel frame 2" is fairly common, but not this version., What can you guys tell me about this particular wheelgun? Thanks

Believe it or not, there is a post here ftom back in Oct 24, 2005 by member Bullrock about buying a M455TI. No pics due to age of post tho!

I have a Taurus .44 Special, 2", 5-shot. It is my carry gun just because it weighs about the same as the ammo and is dependable as any revolver.
I'm not a fan of Taurus guns, but I do like the big bore TI guns.
Taurus are notorious for terrible triggers and their fit and finish will win no awards. Not pretty, not sexy, not expensive.
Mostly they work, though. Mostly.

I have a matte blue Taurus Ti in 44 spl and its a decent gun. I never had any issues. Has a heavy but ok trigger and decent accuracy for what it is. In rapid fire it easily delivers a nice grouping and returns to point of aim easier than alot of guns.

I carried it for a bit years ago, and recently used it as my car gun on a few trips. It mostly serves as a house gun now and my Mom keeps it in her room since she likes revolvers.

It might not be the best gun in the world, but I like it. Its one of the few I decided to keep when I was forced to sell of years ago. I doubted is ever find one as nice ever again

I too have the Total Titanium 44 and like it very much as a carry gun. And when I reduced my inventory of guns last year by 38 handguns and long guns, I sold a number of Kimbers. But kept my Taurus 44, if that gives you any idea what I think of it!

BOARHUNTER

I have been casually looking for the 45 colt version and came across a well used one at a gun show. I’ve usually had good luck with gun show pricing but not this time. Guy wanted 700 for a stainless colored gun that looked black with soot.

I personally would consider the charter arms version and not have to deal with moon clips.

The CA not needing moon clips is one of the reasons as to why i bought mine. I like revolvers and like rimless cartridges. Not a fan of fragile moon clips though. My Pitbull has seen close to 300 rounds and not a hiccup with the mechanism.

Pretty clever way around the moon clip.

I've had a Model 415, chambered in .41 Magnum, for the past sixteen years or so and have been quite happy with it. The revolver is constructed of s/s and has a 2 1/2" long ported barrel. In spite of the relatively powerful cartridge, the gun is very controllable when firing fast, repeat shots.

That's how my 44 spl Titanium acts. It has a kick but goes right back on target
