Who went and who thought that almost everything was overpriced? I spent about two hours there looking at ammo and older rifles. All the guns seemed to be about $100-200 over the going value. Ammo prices were ridiculous.

I'm working a table there tomorrow. Have attended or worked tables there and off for about 15 years. It sometimes takes walking the ENTIRE show on both days, but I've dug up a couple gems.

It seems that those gems are epgetting more and more rare. The guy with his fathers collection of Garands, Springfields, Lugers, Broomhandles, and more was pretty great. I would have bought one of the Garands from him if I was in the market for one just because he had a good story. They were also very nice pieces.

I, am in Ohio. The prices at gun shows here are way up. I, see a lot of people walking around ,but no one buying. Yep, you just may find a good deal on some thing, Rots-a -ruck.

Thank you for the report on the Syracuse show. I began attending the Syracuse show and others in New York such as the Dome Show in Henretta in the early 1990s, and enjoyed them for about 10 years. Then there was one show in Syracuse where the most numerous item was furniture! Yea, there were guys selling recliners, footstools, etc. covered in your choice of camoflague or a print material with the emblem of one of the branches of the armed forces. I really didn't need to drive 600 miles to look at furniture. Then, when the left wing lunatics took over the state, I simply refused to have anything to do with it. There's lots of better things for me to do with my money rather be sick at the thought that a single cent of mine might end up in the pocket of Cuomo, Schumer or Gillibrand.

Not sure how big the Syracuse one is, but the one they hold (used to at least) in Saratoga feels the same way. Seems like prices where increased for the show. Might find one or two things that's about it. The last time I went I was looking for a 44 mag Winchester carbine, and I found only one and it was well out of my price range IIRC. The saratoga show used to be pretty decent but the last few times I went I was less than impressed. I think the moved it to Glenns Falls now.

I did attend an outdoor show in Syracuse two or three years ago. That too was less than impressive, expected different I guess. I did pick up a nice hand made grunt call from gooseman though. Show wasn't worth the 2 hour plus drive IMO.
