Okay so I have an old sporterized Surplus swedish Mauser, the initial problem was that every second or third round wouldn't feed up high enough and would hit the front of the magazine well.
The solution I settled on was to swap out the magazine spring.
Huge success, rounds feed now.

The new question is it actually seems like the magazine is pushing the bolt back a little bit when I open the action.........
I understand that the bolt is pushing back a little bit for primary extraction but this is more than before I swapped out springs.

The new one is definitely a little larger but it is locking up the same as before I switched it out and everything else feels Normal. It might be ejecting the cases a little more aggressively. But it was fairly good about that before hand.

Am I good to go, do I need to put the old spring back, or should I just play with it and it will break in?

I feel like there's a reason my profile pic says derp.

The new magazine spring is exerting more force on the follower. The worn previous spring did not exert enough force for the ridge on the follower to push the bolt back. The new spring does. Provided the bolt closes without difficulty, you are good to go.

I felt like that was the answer but it was definitely new and different so it seemed prudent to ask.
