I picked up a used Sig SP2340 from a local shop the other day. I took it to the range and every shot the hammer followed when the slide went forward. i tried cycling it by hand and if I let the slide go from any more than half way back the hammer will drop. Any Ideas on the cause/fix? Here is a video that someone else posted with the same issue.

Is it double action only? Can't see from the video if there was a decocker or not.

No it is DA/SA, sorry about that. This is my 4th Sig (2 P226s and a P229). It is not a sear issue, the hammer doesn't fall from it's cocked position with firm hand pressure. This is some kind of issue with the decocker it seems.

No problem. If da/sa shouldn't be doing that. Give sig a call, hopefully you can just semd in the fcu and not the whole pistol. They are easy to take out.

Being used. I would send it into sig for repair. Who knows what has been done to it. Maybe somebody just threw or modified a decocker to fit on a dak pistol to try to fetch a higher price.
