I’m playing with YouTube for videos, so here’s one made earlier today.

She eats Seals, I eat Bears.....I don’t mind dried Seal, but she won’t even touch Bear, and , of course, we don’t dry Bears......but the ratings been pretty good, and the paws are sweet.

All the stuff you see around is 6 sleds worth of Summer nets, salt, gas, boats AND all of our winters trapping gear,as our river opened before we had a chance to get the Winters gear up to the cache, but we’ll do so soon with the boats.

A lot of people have been killed in the thin ice this year, one family from Noatak village in one go.

It’s good to have the oldest daughter camping along, she lots of help and great with a camera.

Spring is about 3 weeks early, and 20 years ago, it would be a full month and a half early......

They used to have Seal cutting contests on 4th of July, but now we cut Seals in May......the Arctic is full blast warming, as Fall is a month longer now, too.

Looks like our geese have made it back up there. :D Where you guys are camped looks like my yard, well, except for the ice and lack of oaks.. We're getting rain, but most of it is east of us in the Houston area.

I will put that family in my prayers tonight. It's a tough life up there even if it looks and sounds idyllic to most of us lower 48ers. :D

Is that an A5 leaning against the laptop at the end!?

Seal meat is a Beef in looks, Fish in taste...LOL!!!
The deal is the blubber, it’s full of vitamin C, and the kinda fat that don’t stick to your heart. It also rounds a rather Eskimo/kept diet, and keeps you warm in Winter.
