NPR story on guns stolen from vehicles

Where I live, at one time (not that long ago) most trucks had a gun rack in the back windshield, and during hunting season most of them had a gun or two in them.

What has changed?
And how do we fix it it?

The gun hasn’t changed, trucks are more secure than they used to be.

So why focus on guns and security?
Because no one wants to address the real problems.

My 2¢ worth just what you paid for it.

Probably because as gun owners we usually accept the reality that we have to look out for ourselves because no one else will. I think the same applies here. I'm not going to be able to change society and all the issues that have led up to it, but I can secure my guns pretty easily from the godless, fatherless, crackhead, drug dealer thief. ;)
(BTW, I have done my part along the way for society as none of my kids meet that description).

Let's see, there's what, 45 shall-issue States, right?

Why have we not seen the car makers introduce containers to protect our valuables?

Given that very few pople use a bulky CD changer in their cars, why ave we not seen RSC to fit center consoles in the space provided for CD changers? Why not options for a lockbox under the front passenger seat?

Now, none of those do any good if the driver does not lock their doors in the first place.

Confused here again.........Guns Prohibited!!!......Concealed Carry,,,,,,,Seems the second solves the first.

Let the sniping begin...

NPR with a story about those stupid people that have guns, what a surprise.

I wonder who they would blame if some guys stole a few airplanes and flew them in to some large buildings? Probably the same people plus George W Bush of course.
Why do my tax dollars fund NPR?

We just had a local story about Columbus Schools paying NPR over $750k for some sort of educational benefit? Graft
NPR is full of liberal bias. I used to listen occasionally but any story about guns/ firearms was always negative

Let’s stay on the topic and not complain about NPR.

For about twenty-five bucks, you can get a lock box and cable. I have a lock box in my car secured to an anchor in the trunk.

You should be a non-issue.
