Which gun brings you the most satisfaction?

Pound for pound, my Romanian M69 .22lr training rifle has more meat than al my high power rifle shots combined.

There has to be some swimming caribou's it has taken in that weight, right?

Springfield Loaded Target 1911, .45 acp. Wanted a 1911 ever sense I was trained on them in the Army. In life something always got in the way. So a couple years before I retired I finally bought one. Now about ten years later and 20,000 plus rounds threw the gun I' very happy. Only issues I ever had were ammo related ( failure to go into battery was to light of crimp, stove pipe to light of a charge ). I cast my bullets with range lead and load my own ammo. The gun is a joy to shoot . hdbiker

That is exactly it, as well as the Seals the wife pops with it from the boat. .22lr doesn’t exit the Caribou skulls to wound any in the tightly packed herd, from 5 feet away, and it won’t push a Seal down into the water when you hit their thin skull.....

Just this winter alone I caught over 100 rabbits, for us and our dogs, neighbors, etc. and just last night 9 20-47 lb Beaver.

The new horse in the stable always gets the most grooming - and currently that is my AR. It is just a generic AR... Great fun to shoot endplay with.

HOWEVER, my ubiquitous and unspectacular GLOCK 42 rides with me everyday - It is my most useful and ever present firearm.

Then during deer season the SAKO 6.5x55 shines.

I will have to choose my custom built .45 flintlock. It has curly maple stock and green mtn bbl.
With it I have competed in local, state and national BP shoots, hunted, and rendezvous with it.

I am glad to see several BP guns in this thread. BP shooters seem to have a strong kinship. We like to hunt, camp, eat, and keep things simple.

Usually my 1911s when I've been carrying/shooting something else, but I've had the 1911s out the most lately so it was my Sig 226 Legion SAO I'd been neglecting as bedside gun I took out the other week.

Forgot how accurate and fast that thing is in my hands.

The last time I qualified with my Glock 19 I missed 4 Shots out of 30. The four shots that I missed were right outside the scoring ring at 7 yards

What was your qualification course, if you dont mind my asking?

I always enjoy trying all the qualifications I can find.

I've been thinking about the question and conclude that I can't answer. I have a nice, modest collection of shooters, and I get great satisfaction from all of them. Any that I don't enjoy get traded off or sold. My interest tends to cycle. Sometimes I am infatuated with developing loads for a wildcat rifle, other times I enjoy training with a semi-automatic pistol. And the .357 and .44 caliber revolvers are always fun. Just no way to attribute "greatest satisfaction" to any particular firearm except in the existential moment.
This. I was really trying to pick one and can’t seem to. I’ve sold off about 80% of the guns I had. The ones I have left are all exceptionally accurate or they’d be gone too. I see no reason to keep a rifle that won’t shoot sub 1” groups other than my HD AR’s

As others have said it depends on my mood. I love shooting my S&W model 19 4” nickel. It was my first duty weapon and has many memories. Right up there with it is my 686 4” which has become the “workhorse “ of my revolver collection. Then there is the 2.75” model 69 .44 mag which is fun to shoot and is in my EDC rotation. My current favorite is the little brother of my 686. It is the S&W 3” model 60 which looks like a 3/4 scale model of the 4” 686. To me it’s the perfect gun for EDC! At least for now. :)

Handgun= My Redhawk 44 Mag.

Rifle= My Pedersoli Sharps.

Those are also the two guns I probably shoot the least. I enjoy shooting all my firearms. I wouldn’t own them if I didn’t. But when those come out, it’s smiles all around.

Patrol M1 Carbine issued me in the 70's. Once had to clunk a perp with the buttstock. I'd take an M1 Carbine over anything if all I could have is one gun.
Second place goes to my 4" S&W 65-3.

As far as rifles go, it would have to be this one. SAR-48HB. Shoot it all day, recoil like a .22LR. Barely spits out the empties, which usually stay on the table. I only wish I had as much 7.62 NATO as I have 5.56.

I always drool over that range in Houston that Colion Noir films at. I’d pay just about any amount of money to get to spend a day at a range like that.

The outdoor "Tire" range is south of Dallas.. Texas Defensive Shooting Academy.

No clue about indoor ranges if that is what you are referring too.

You hit the nail on the head. The indoor ranges I was referring to are my local ranges... just not too fun to shoot an AR there.

Either my model well worn 10-10 or 10-14(2007) DC trade ins. I shoot them more accurately than any gun I own except a 1967 Colt Trooper. My model 10s are the least expensive($330/ea) and one is in my range bag every trip. If I'm struggling with a semi at the range, I pull out the model 10 and leave with a smile on my face.

I'd have to say my SP101 357 DAO with its enhancements brings me the most pleasure when I shoot it. The glass smooth trigger and light pulling hammer allows me to stage shots for higher accuracy. If I'm out shooting with other revolvers, I have to shoot it last because once I start with it, I don't want to put it down.

I've got the same model SP and it's a close second to my model 10s as a favorite. The work I did lightening up and smoothing the trigger pull made a huge improvement. Learning to shoot this snub accurately is very satisfying and my groups with 4" barreled revolvers has improved after mastering the 2.25" SP.

I enjoy old mil-surp rifles when we have a get-to-gather, you would be surprised at how many youngsters come over and want to shoot them, the garand is 1st then probably the carbine or 03A3s, my ARs sat there all day and didn't get shot:)
