Which gun brings you the most satisfaction?

So I've continued to think about this. If there is one that gives me great satisfaction, it's probably the personally assembled Remington 700 in .260 Ackley Improved that I built last summer. Not only is it very accurate, it was a very enjoyable project.

Here's a link to the original thread, and a couple of pics. Just wish I had more time to shoot it!

My favorite is a good .22, a couple of bricks of decent ammo, and a good plinking spot. Either of my MKIII rugers with all the mkiii stuff took out, and my 10-22.

I own nothing that satisfies me.

Had Ruger #1's, Smith 629's and even a Colt Python.
Nice.

But I'm getting too practical in my old age.
When I stumble and bonk the stock..............I am kinda glad for that plastic stuff.

I value the durability, the weather fighting..........but satisfied? Nope. It's still not pretty.
Deer, geese and doves hate em.

That makes me smile...............maybe just a little.

For Rifles: K31
For Pistols: Browning Buckmark Hunter
I enjoy both of these two so much, I bought two of each(although the second buckmark is a udx plus)

My 1963 Remington 760 in .35 rem shoots good and that cartridge is perfect for hunting deer around here.
Wanted the newer 7600 style, Grice Wholesale special run carbine, synth. They push a grand used.
Got thos for half that (and was able to shoot before purchase).

Not the model I wanted. Kinda beat up (so not afraid to hunt it hard).
Wears a Leupold 4X, which isn't enough sometimes, and too much others.
So it is NOT perfect. But it does its job well enough as is so I'm just gonna leave the POS as is.

I would prefer perfect but have learned to tolerate "good enough".

What a terrible question! It would depend on what I'm using the gun for, but even then it is very hard to choose.

Concealed carry handgun: The Bond Arms Bullpup or the Boberg. (I have both.)
Small game hunting: Ruger 77/22 All Weather or 77/22WRM All Weather for slightly larger game (Both with Boat Paddle Zytel stocks.)
Rabbits: Ruger Mark IV Hunter with red dot
.22RF at range: Marlin 39A
General Hunting: Ruger .44 Magnum Carbine
Long range Hunting: Sako 85 Hunter Stainless
Trap Shooting: Winchester 101 Trap
Shotgun Hunting: Remington 1100

It is hard for me to choose, but probably my Savage 10T in 308. I am hoping to build up another three rifles and I have high hopes for two of the builds that just might take over the number one spot.

Strangely, the one that gives me the most satisfaction is not my nicest gun...or the best shooting one. It's one I "rescued" from a sheriff's sale. A S&W Model 59 that was so filthy and worn (finish), I bought it for $125 a few years ago. The first semi-auto I took apart completely apart. Cleaning took hours - it was like it had been dipped in axle grease and thrown in a dirt pile afterwards. After cleaning, it turned out to be perfect mechanically, and I refinished it. It has become my nightstand gun. It is the gun that I am the proudest of, even though I have much nicer ones.
