Hi,

I read the thread from several years ago regarding REI and its intent to stop selling outdoor goods made by companies that also deal in firearms or ammunition (vista/federal).

I am getting into backpacking and wondering if they have reversed their stance and if it's OK to shop there again? I have gone out of my way to do 0 business with them, except maybe go in and tie up their salespeople's time trying things out in their store before purchasing my desired equipment elsewhere. Are they carrying Vista products again? Can I shop there in good conscience as a pro-2A citizen?

I saw the previous thread had been closed and it was recommended that a new one be started. If this is not appropriate feel free to delete.

It is doubtful REI has changed their stance on firearms, that said they are a business and likely are buying wholesale from those offering the best price.

They don't sell Camelbak, but they sell other products from the group. My opinion is that they simply walked back their position, but substituted Camelbak for a "better" product.
