Dang it - I should not look at gunbroker...
Just bought this bump and dent special:

Drobs - I think you'd be dishonored, court-martialed & banished from "thr" if you would've passed on an El Patron Competition for only $200.
There could be LOTSA superficial damage & I'd still pay $200.

I have one that I paid full price for & I still love it.

Very true.

Well, I might as well show off all my peacemakers:

Standard Uberti Cattleman in .357 w/5.5" barrel.

Uberti Engraved Cattleman in .45LC. This one is from Taylors. The engraving is done by laser, then hand chased to enhance the depth. It's really nice.

This next one is a Cimarron Thunderball 8, and it's made by Pietta. I know, not a Uberti, but still a nice addition to a gun porn thread.

This last one is a older EMF New Dakota, and was made by Armi San Marco. I added the Snake medallions. The medallions are inlaid, not just on top of the grips.

Well, I know I said "Last one" above, but since were on the subject of peacemakers, I do have one other: A Ruger New Vaquero. This is an older one made on the XR frame. While it's a workhorse, and it's the gun I test all my first time reloading recipes on, it just doesn't have the sleek sexy shape of a peacemaker.

Well. Enough porn.

I really dig on this one.

In the interest of perpetuating but at the risk of hijacking this great thread, I'll post some "porn".

Picked up this pair of Cimarron .44Spl's at their store on a trip to Texas 3yrs ago. Last fall I also got a floral carved Mexican loop for the 7.5".

I think this is the first pair I put together, Uberti "Old West" 7.5" and 5.5" .45's. I later picked up an aged Cimarron 7th Cavalry.

Oooooh. I'm really drooling over that Schofield with the ivory grips and the engraved open Top. I may have to get a pair of those for my Schofield. Speaking of open Top, it looks like a cartridge conversion. Is that a factory (Cimarron) conversion or did you have it done?

It's the 1871-1872 Open Top cartridge model. A replica of Colt's first big bore cartridge sixgun. They leaned heavily on the 1860 but weren't conversions and utilized a new, dedicated cartridge frame.

I have a few single actions but have yet to delve into SAA clones.
Man, I gotta get one. I am partial to the look of the 5.5" Artillery model. I have been since childhood because my favorite Western novel character carried a matched brace of them with staghorn grips. I guess I'm still a child at heart because it's still my favorite look.
