Which Polymer 45 ACP are you enjoying for target shooting

I'm a Glock guy, own a 19, 19X and 30sf, the 30sf is a nice shooter for a compact. I use it as my woods gun for Flyfishing in Black Bear country. I've also owned a couple of Kimber 45's back when I was convinced that .45 bigger was better was the only choice for SD. I owned 2 21's including a Gen 4 and a 21sf gen3, they were just two big for my hands. OTOH I had an SW M & P service sized .45 that fit my hands great and shot great. I think they are very good guns, but they also seemed a notch less quality than my Glocks in the small parts. But I wouldn't hesitate to own one if I was using .45 as my main carry.

The HK45 impresses me a lot too, BUT the one thing I love about Glock is the aftermarket support. The idea of buying $50 + mags turns me off.

Mags are expensive, huge downside. One reason all of my 45's are 1911's. I can find good mags on sale for less than $20. I probably have 20 or so and they run in 3 different guns.

Sig mags are also expensive but affordable. Generally different models won't run the same mags.

Lots of down sides to HK. Still going to buy one tho. The HK45 feels like a 1911. That's a good thing.

True. If you watch for sales, you can get them for like $30 from time to time.

Be aware that the safety lever on the HK45 is also a decocker. If you ride the safety like many 1911 shooters do you could decocker by accident.

I haven’t had a problem with it though.
The HK45 and USP can be easily converted to variant 9, safety, no decocker for those who want to ride the safety.
Plus you don't need to feed it FMJ, it will happily digest SWC target loads too. Mine got a steady diet of plated and coated SWC's, never a problem.

That's great info. Thanks for sharing!

I really enjoy my HK45c with LEM trigger. It’s: accurate, reliable, pleasant and controllable recoil, ten round mags, can be carried concealed, ergonomics good for me, and it’s an HK.
