Bersa tpr9c ?

While not the exact model you are looking at, I bought their Thunder 9 PRO XT on a whim and have been thoroughly impressed with it's performance.

It's no CZ Shadow 2 or SIG P210 for sure, but for the price the build quality and accuracy is excellent.

They're good but chuuunky

I've had two Bersas. The most recent was a UC45. Mine was absolutely reliable and I really liked the ergonomics except that the grip was too wide at the top under the beavertail and the arthritis in my thumb made it painful to shoot. I have fondled, but not shot, an older UC9 and it had a fairly wide grip too.
I don't know if this is the case with the new TPR9C or not.
Unfortunately, if you don't like the grip, your options are limited.

Good looking, too.

The closest gun in terms of feel would probably be a Beretta 92, very similar in grip size and shape. My Bersa mics out to 2.1" length and 1.32" width. Beretta 92 is 2.076" length and 1.37" width. Don't know how that would translate to the smaller versions but it's a starting point.

Actually, I think it's was a UC9 I was referring to but same thing.

Try Bass Pro or Cabelas... one of those was where I found a new one on display.

The trigger reach wasnt bad for my shot finger which is most often the DQ factor with DA/SA for me.

I would have bought it but I was looking for something to CC as well as plink with and I felt it was too fat for CC.

ETA: I do kinda wish I had bought it anyways.

I have the very similar earlier model UC9. I've had it for around 10 year now and it's as reliable as reliable gets.

I now primarily carry a P365, but it's still something I wouldn't mind carrying if I had to. It's accurate, I know it will fire and gives the user 13 +1 rounds.
It's not as small as the P365, however it's in the same weight range as the K9 and size as the M&Pc (I wouldn't mind going back to carrying either of those either).



I used to carry Winchester 124gr Rangers in my UC9 and they were quite accurate for me. When fired into play-do after a couple layers of denim (those were my play-do JHP comparison days) they always expanded. Even back then, I had a great pistol/ammo combo.





The only downside of the UC9 is that it's a little on the "thick" side. Not to say it's not concealable; I concealed mine for over a year with no issues.

Overall, these are great pistols that are "inspired" by the excellent Walther P88.

IMHO, if one is looking for a DA, all metal pistol, the standard and compact of these are the most underrated, best bang for the buck out there and has been so for years now. it's best features are: they are purpose built to be the sidearm of any military or police force looking for it's MOA.(it's tough, reliable and built to last). the full length rails which can hold lube. the trigger(DA can be a bit stiff at first but quickly gets good with use) with it's incredibly quick reset(similar short reset to P99 AS, Sig SRT and Grand Power pistols) (perhaps a bit too quick for those inexperienced). the easy to use, easy to access, properly placed, ambi controls(the main source of the thickness specs). it's huge, easy to "pick-up" front combat dot.

still, I can't answer your question. IDK if it's a good CCW for you. I will say that the new grips are slightly slimmer then the old. they are interchangeable.

even if Bersa doesn't say it, these are most assuredly based on the Walther P88 but, believe it or not, with improvements, although the Walthers had a nice classic finish. I like the finish on the Bersa though.
