Could Not Pass Up the Sale Price

I love free market capitalism> Today I was looking for a Remington VLS .223 and found them priced from $950 to $650. Haven't seen a price that low for years. I have that model in .243 and my brother has one in .223. Both of us paid about $725 years ago. They have been wicked accurate. I'm looking for a friend. In that process, I found several other "bargains", which gets my mojo working.

2 weeks ago at a gun show of all places. Kahr P9 (or P 40, P 45) for $220 OTD. I was resisting nicely but my 'ol buddy doc says "If you don't buy that, you're crazy." Can't argue with a doctor's diagnosis. After shooting the heck out of it twice, I should have bought another and a .45 just in case. Joe

I shared this last week on the THR Revolver page and am still in minor shock about the incredible deal I received from my LGS. A stainless 3" Service Six in .357 Magnum with the original grips and a set of never installed Pachmayr grips, original box and soft case and all the paperwork. No cylinder ring. Just pristine and appears to have never been shot or shot very little. A legendary unicorn gun for sure. $500 dollars OTD and that's with tax.

I bought a new M&P .40 M2.0 Compact 4" NTS for $299.99 Shipped a few weeks ago.

I'm sure some people bought a Ed Brown Special Forces for $1799.99 over Memorial Day Weekend.

Psa has had some crazy deals I’ve built 6 AR15 on top of what I already have no need for any of them but they’ll never be this cheap again

I bought a Remington R51 9mm for $299. The R51 got off to a bad start and Remington had to replace a bunch of them. Fortunately, the new and improved model has given me no problems and is my carry weapon. But yeah, it was one of those too-cheap-to-pass-up deals.

I look on several sites and every so often, I see a deal I just can't pass up. If it's a gun on my "always wanted" list, I'm done for. I was on GB a few days ago and saw a really pretty S&W 686 no dash for auction. I was tempted to put in an opening bid, but I passed, someone else got it. I'll live, but a 686 is now at the top of my list, which is getting really short now. A 4" 686, a 4" 28-2, a Beretta 92FS, a .Rossi .357 r92 in SS and a 16" barrel, A CZ P-01, and a CZ SP-01 and that's about it for me..

Nope. Pretty easy not to buy gun stuff when the 11 year old needs backpacking gear for Boy Scouts.

How about a couple of college graduations and a wedding to pay for? That will take any gun and/or gun accessories purchases right off the table, at least for a little while!

Yeah, my wife just bought the kid some kind of I thingie. o_O
Funny, her "discretionary fund" seems to be better funded than mine...

Yeah I have noticed that too! Even the dog makes out better than I do!

That is my problem also. I was looking on GunBroker at Dan Wesson Pointman Carry in 9mm and 38 Super. They normally run about $1400 plus or minus, I was watching and thinking on one from 2GunJay at $1199 plus shipping when 2 popped up at $991 with $28 to ship. I could not pass it up, it should be here next week.
I wanted a 9mm or 38 Super, either one, and I will fit another barrel to it to have a dual caliber gun.

Congrats on getting the Dan Wesson Pointman Carry! I have always gone with a .38 Super in my Colt Commander convertibles. That way you can leave the .38 Super ejector in place and just put drop in a 9mm. barrel assembly (along with a 9mm. magazine), and you're good to go!

You don't necessarily have to go "on-line" for a good deal. Not long ago, I paid $279.00 for a new Weatherby Vanguard, chambered in .257 Weatherby Magnum from my lgs. I have no earthly "use" for this rifle, just couldn't resist the closeout "deal". As jmr40 observed, " A fellow can go broke saving money". :uhoh:

Powder Valley has free hazmat on purchase over $159 and Federal and Winchester have rebates on primers. After rebates it’ll be $260 for 5000 Winchester and 5000 Federal primers. That’s $.026 a piece all in for quality primers delivered to your door.

Holy frijoles! Thanks for that heads up.
Where are you finding these?

NVM, found 'em, lol.
FYI, I bought the 24” gov profile heavy barrel 5.56 for $174.99 two weeks ago. $186 delivered to my door. For the price I couldn’t pass it up. And it shoots a little under 1” with cheap Hornady 55gr SP. Couldn’t be happier.
