Scope on 500 mag

I had a Leupold VX3 on my Thor single shot 44 mag. (I paws for the laughter to subside.) I have been experiencing trouble with the firing pin and spring in that dawg so I put the scope on the 500 mag figuring it would be more useful. I used the Weigand mount and 4 rings. I'm off to the range with it today. Hope it works well.

Yes I know the color doesn't match but I didn't want to buy another scope.

I like the scope and the mount. Tough for me to shoot well. Probably some flinching involved. I use reduced recoil loads but they still have plenty of recoil and noise. I also have the 460 with a scope that I can shoot somewhat better. I find the (unscoped) DE to be quite a handful since it pretty much requires full power loads. I was surprised by the recoil considering its weight.
