Cluelessly bought an upper.

It will snap right to any complete Ar15 lower.

I tend to build mine from parts, but the psa kits are good options.

Yes that lower would complete your upper into a completed carbine.

Just don’t for get sights and/or optics and magazines.

BCM is a company of known quality, you did great.

And a magazine or 20 lol!

You might want to check to see if PSA has some magazine + red dot combo if you desire a red dot.

No tools needed to assemble a complete lower and complete upper. On lower quality, your not gonna get a lot better than psa without paying more.... It's mostly in the trigger also lol.

The connection between upper and lower is two pins. I'm not sure, but I think it involves a rubber mallet.

ETA... Okay, LoonWulf beat me to that one. But you do need some sort of sight system. From what I hear, though, you need a good trigger before you go crazy spending money on glass. And you do need mags you can be confident that they work.

Errr....if your malleting your pins in you MAY have some alignment issues...... there's my smiley

You see those two holes about the size of a dime on the bottom of your upper, one at the very back and one a little ways forward? The lower has two pins inside it that are the same diameter, and the pins will slide through the holes in your upper.

You can push the pins out with a good bit of finger pressure, line up the upper with the lower, then push the pins back in place with your finger. Takes 30 seconds max. No tools required.

If you flip muzzle device and charging handle, that's actually the precise order I replaced mine in, Haha. My spares ended up going to my father in law to complete his build cheaper though. I'm lusting after an AR pistol now though, so kinda wish I still had the parts.

It's been a long time since I looked, but I thought those pins seemed snug and snapped into place. I see what you're saying though.

To the OP, considering you'll likely end up replacing the trigger and stock, I'd personally go a little cheaper and more basic on the complete lower, save some money for getting the little tweaks you want. This "Classic" lower should meet your needs pretty well and will be a little cheaper than the one in the screenshot. That being said, if you like the trigger and stock on the one in the screenshot no reason not to go with that one.

Your right, they can be hard to move. It's usually the detents, rounding them can make It easier.

As long as you don't accidentally buy an ar10 lower

Any AR-15 lower will work with the BCM upper. Just don't get an AR-10 lower as mentioned above.

Also, make sure your upper has a bolt carrier group and charging handle. The one you pictured does, but if it doesn't include these you'll need these two parts. For $700, I'd hope it would.

Mn Fats, in your first post you mentioned your upper came with the carrier and charging handle. Mechanically, your upper is complete. What it lacks is sights. The cheap and easy button is the Primary Arms Advance Micro Red Dot with rotary illumination dial and a 1/3 lower co-witness mount. For reliability and battery life, it's among the top red dot sights in its price range (under $200). Both are available at the Primary Arms web site. Aimpoints are much better but prices are more than double that of the Primary Arms and go up from there.

Iron sights are available, but they'll cost almost as much as the red dot sight I recommend above.

The BCM upper will fit the PSA lower you showed in your post. That PSA lower and the MagPul furniture it comes with is a good choice and will get you up and running so you can shoot your AR. However, the buffer is really too light and the action spring isn't the best. Both will last you long enough that you can get a replacement H2 buffer and a good spring, like the Sprinco blue spring.The

If that PSA lower is on special, don't hesitate to buy it. Anything PSA puts on sale sells out fast and it's likely it'll bee a good while before it's back in stock again.

The BCM upper you bought is one of the best.

BMC gear is excellent. I strongly recommend if the difference is less than $100, OP buys a complete BCM lower.

Also, and sorry if I missed it, did the upper come with the BCG and charging handle? If not, don’t skimp on a bargain BCG...again, BCM if top quality, go to war gear.
