Several weeks ago I purchased two Phoenix IX silencers from @MachIVshooter. My local shop finally got them in, allowing me to get the paperwork taken care of and giving me a chance to look at the guts of the cans. My last (and only) silencer is a welded version, so this is the first chance I have had to dig into one.

The guy who runs the shop is a hobby machinist and IMO a very good gunsmith. Talking with him it was very clear that he was quite impressed with the workmanship of the cans. For that matter, so was I.

They are 8 inches long but they surprisingly only weigh 8.9 ounces. This includes the booster spring. The first 2 baffles are titanium, followed by 8 aluminum baffles. These are stamped with a number and have index cuts to align the stack properly. IIRC, the tube itself is made from titanium (MachIV, feel free to correct me if you read this and details are in error). Total price to get the pair to my local shop (not including transfer fees or tax stamps) was just under $1,300. So far I'm pretty impressed. Hopefully the shop will allow me to go out and test the cans before my paperwork comes back.

I was in a hurry, so the pictures below aren't the greatest. I will go back and get some better ones as time allows.
