I don't have to contact them. I can look at the data. You're the one with your head in the sand.

If they've always been the same powder then explain this.

45 ACP200 gr SWC
231 4.5-5.0 gr, 719-811 fps
HP38 4.5-5.0 gr, 808-892 fps

I'm not saying they aren't currently the same powder. But at some point there was a difference between them. That's about a 12% difference.

Do you accept that they are currently the same powder?

The currently manufactured powders are indeed the same, but there are likely still some canisters of the older powders still floating around out there; especially the larger size canisters that take a long time to burn through.

Sorry, I was addressing this question to Texas10mm.

bds, what is Hodgdon's 40 S&W barrel groove diameter? Please point me to that information. Maybe it's the same.
THR is just another online forum and I am just another guy on the internet. ;)

Me:

Good morning,

Your online load data doesn't show groove diameter of test barrel.

What was the groove diameter of barrel for 40S&W pressure testing?

Hodgdon:

Hello XXX, Thank you for reaching out to us.

SAAMI list a bore dia .390 and groove dia .4005 for the 40 s&w.

Thank you
