no matter which way I try to time the Vg6 Gamma .556 on a BA hanson .556 it always ends upside down with the logo showing up. any advice on similar experience. The shim that came with the muzzle brake is placed on the barrel as well.

It's a crush washer....I use a couple gammas.
Let me look through my muzzle break mounting crap when I get home. I may have some 1/2" shims.

If your feeling energetic, what you can do is sand (using a flat surface and even pressure) the wide side of the crush washer down till your within 1/8turn or so of true and then clamp up your barrel and tighten it the rest of the way down.

could I add more crush washers, instead of sanding?

also someone suggested peel washers, instead of crush washers.

You tighten it until it’s finger tight and the keep tightening it until the logo is down. The crush washer is supposed to smash. Watch some YouTube videos on installing muzzle devices with crush washers.

Ive never used peel washers, so cant realy comment on those.
I normal use a shim kit.

I wouldnt stack crush washers since that adds quite a bit of length, and more chances for misalignment, but again ive also never tried it.

That works as well, but make sure your clamping barrel well. Personally i dont realy like crushing, a crush washer that much, but its supposed to be fine.

Tighten some more and crush the washer, they usually have more than a full rotation of compression.
