Maybe this police chief has a point?
:barf::alien::notworthy::what:
What is wrong with these people?

Yep, that woman should be canned. Disgraceful! And she is basically giving the go ahead for others to commit crime. Actually it is shocking to hear a Chief of Police in a City full of crime talk this crap. But sadly blaming others is so common with the vast majority of criminals. And I will bet the Scum bag that did the shooting will belong to some group that believes this type of crap.

We don't seem to know much about this type of crime, or we would be better at preventing it. Finger pointing doesn't seem to stop it. If we want to save our guns, our suppressors and our lives, we need to find out what sets this mechanism in motion and derail that train.

As usual with this type of news, we don't get all the facts. We used to think that we did, but selective release is really not new. The silencer was not legal in VA, so laws did not prevent its use, as others have noted. We don't know if it was on a gun or used at any time, or even if it was functional.

My conversation with concerned folks will focus on educating them to what a suppressor does, the low incidence of criminal use, and how cars, trucks, gas and many other means can be used to kill people on a large scale if we can't figure out how to deal with that mental state effectively.

The CBS news affilIate WTKR channel 3 just ran a story that Victim Catherine Nixon's husband said she contemplated carrying her gun that day because the perp had been increasingly confrontational, argumentative, and aggressive that week. She decided against it and it cost her her life.

City manager Hansen replied that there was no evidence to support these claims and the investigation is ongoing

Somebody's trousers are on fire!

She's only been chief for a couple of years. She inherited a problem and doubled down on it.
I liked the previous one. But he retired after that horrible cop killer went on his rampage, I think because he was so devastated, the press conference he gave afterwards was heartbreaking. And some @#$% "journalist" asked if it was really necessary to blow the guy up.

Yeah, I remember that. I was surprised that "journalist" left the building intact.

It will be interesting when, and IF, the truth finally comes out.
That we got so little about the shooter and it was so quickly dropped out of the news cycle makes me wonder...? :scrutiny:

I have a feeling the story disappeared during to political correctness since the shooter doesn't fit the narrative.

I also think a lot of political correctness lead up to this shooting. Virginia Beach will do its best to keep the truth hidden

I believe any place of business that supports "a gun free zone" is morally and should legally be required to provide security to those inside. That being said, I ignore those signs. There is no legislative way to stop these kinds of incidents. At this point in time in this country, despite all the riches and opportunity, anger and hateful attitudes are too easy to come by.

So, I suspect that this Police Chief might be a product of affirmative action?
Lol, we have one Police Chief in Virginia Beach believes that crap. More asinine crap like They should not be required to take the math portion of the Police exam. (do a google).

The other Police Chief, Cerveza is so crooked you will have to screw him into the ground when he dies. We have a cold case here that he botched and big cover up. He is also notorious for dumping his own men under the bus to save his sorry butt.

As far as the question asked "
"I sent Mayor Dyer an email asking if he was willing to risk his political future by participating in this ."

Lol, you bet he would run like a jackrabbit to save his political career. Totally Politically correct is the way in Virginia Beach. Disgusting.

Ask why the last Mayor had to leave. He made a NON politically correct statement, and right away the local "Reverends" jumped on the band wagon, just like they did when their own Gov. was "Politically Incorrect" in college. The mayor had the good sense to just leave. Sick of dealing with the crap. How stupid is the leadership in Virginia Beach? They just put a former foot ball player on the city council. No business background. Nothing, Nada on his resume other than he can run his mouth. This city is going to hell in a Basket. The Blue vote is like a growing cancer.

Yes, there is more growing concern that this whole crime is being swept under the carpet and quickly. And we knew this would be the case right from the start. It is just what is going on in this city from the Office of the Chief of Police to the School Board to City Council.

"So when she told her husband, Jason, that she had concerns about two of her co-workers, he knew it was serious. She didn't like to be around DeWayne Craddock, a fellow engineer — he gave off "real bad vibes" and she'd had to write him up several times for issues with performance and attitude. They both worked on the second floor of Building 2 in the Municipal Center."

But on the night of May 30, it was another man she was most worried about. Kate told her husband that the man, whom Jason Nixon declined to identify, was set to be fired Friday and there was supposed to be a police escort on scene when it happened. While cooking dinner, she expressed her concerns.

"Kate wasn't the gunman's direct supervisor, but as a manager, issues about his work sometimes came across her desk. She had to write him up for what Nixon recalled as "poor engineering" and a "chauvinistic attitude."

Ok, they've said there were two firearms.

Did he switch the suppressor between them? Did the suppressor work so well it suppressed both firearms? Has anyone actually seen this suppressor?
