My wife got a Heritage 22 yesterday.

I love both of mine, one of which is the birdshead version. Both came with the WMR cylinders, but I've only shot a handful of that ammo out of the "regular" one, and none out of the BH one. The BH one is indeed compact and makes a good little yard or fishing piece.

Incidentally, I don't put them up against a real 1873, so the safety nub doesn't bother me. In fact, it allows for dry-fire when applied.

Old stumpy

I am not in awe of your 90 day membership or your opinions. So you don't like heritage, we get it. Perhaps you would be happier somewhere else on the net, so please give it a rest, or not, it is your choice.
Robert deleted some posts and warned you yesterday, I come on duty to find more derp. Expect warning point incoming for non-THR behavior.

The rest of you guys continue to support the o p
I got a heritage I used to train the grandkids

My son-in-law has the BH Heritage and I've shot it and really like it. I keep saying I'm going to get one but just haven't done it yet. One of these days I will. Yes, I know it isn't a single six but don't care that it's not.

I have owned a HRR since about 1994. Never a problem at all. The last time I detail stripped it for cleaning I overtightened one of the screws which caused it to bind on the hammer. No problem. Adjusted screw and all was well. That is the only issue I've ever had with the alloy frame on a Heritage.

That's pretty impressive for a gun that you can buy new for the price of a used "ring of fire" gun such as a Jennings or Cobra.

No. It had a coupon for getting one for 29 dollars if I remember correctly. The mag ammo is so cost prohibitive that I'm torn on it.

Trust me. Get the 22 mag cylinder and some ammo. Stay away from the CCI with its soft plated bullets. Look more at Winchester, Armscor or Fiocchi. Armscor loads the ammo for Fiocchi and its good stuff and shoots to the same POA as Winchester 40gr ammo. Yes it cost more but its an obvious jump in power with a real bullet. Its not plinking ammo. It was designed for hunting. After shooting 22 mag rounds I can't hardly go back to shooting 22lr. The 22lr feels like I'm shooting a BB gun. I would have no problem using a 22 mag for SD especially from a longer barreled gun.

I can just shoot my 38's or 357.
