I've wanted one of these for a long time, and found one today:

1903.jpg
Colt Model 1903. These are chambered in the super-extra-dangerous .32ACP. The serial number says it was made in 1922. Yes, the bluing really does look that good, and on both sides too, which is kind of a shame because that means I'll never get to carry it. There's something really elegant about these old fellows, and I'm sure happy to have made its acquaintance. Now I have to get a double-breasted suit and a pack of Luckies.

All that's left on my gotta-have-it list now is a German PPK in .32ACP. I'll keep my eyes open.

They're sweet guns! I can relate to your excitement: I just acquired a 1908 in .380 ACP. Really fun to shoot.

I have a 1903 in .32 also. However, it is in the opposite kind of condition as yours. It does shoot nice .. and accurate.

Have fun.

Congratulations, beautiful finding. Look like in great condition.
I am speechless.

They're accurate, and they work. In addition to your pack of luckies and the double breasted suit, you'll require a fedora as well. Gentleman don't go bareheaded. Going about armed and dangerous in no way implies a man should eschew etiquette.

Of course a few of the original users might have been a touch rough. Bonnie Parker had one, and the Shanghai police ordered three thousand, theirs had custom features like witness holes in the magazine and a lanyard loop. I suppose if I were to order three thousand of one model, a modern manufacturer might listen to my opinion on required custom features.

Beautiful gun OP. Was it part of an Estate Sale?
No, just a regular gun shop. They've had some unusual and nice ones here and there, including my first .32 Long and my first .38 S&W. They do a lot of trading and buying from people who walk in, and have a reputation for fair dealing, so you never know what might be there. Anytime I have to go through the area, I pop in for a look.

Saw one like that( not as good a condition as that one) for sale at an estate sale. Was not familiar with the pricing at the time, so I walked outside to check prices online ,saw that it was at a fair price. Went back inside to pay for it and it was gone! Someone else beat me to it. Learned my lesson the hard way that day.:(

If you pay too much for something, it just means you bought it too soon. The value will catch up eventually. :)

Nice score..

I've always wanted to get engraved. The lines and clean look, are well suited for it.

Congrats on the awesome acquisition! That one's a real beauty, that's for sure! Love the bluing, the grips, and everything else about this classic pistol!

Mine are all shooter grade guns, the 1903 from 1923 but two Walthers, a Model 4 that's also from 1923 and a Manurhin PP from 1955. Quit with the Luckies and paging Philip Morris about a decade ago now.

That is a pretty one. The 1903 was on my bucket list as well, I picked one up last week. I wanted one that I wouldn't be afraid to shoot, though, so I got one with a little wear and tear on the finish.

Now that’s a looker, very nice indeed. I have always had a soft spot for older 32’s. this one shows lotta holster wear but is still close to my heart

So what is the price point for such a nice 1903 Colt in that great condition? (if you don't mind saying)

That is a beautiful pistol, congratulations on the buy.
