I had high hopes of entering this about a half dozen times (conversions and all...) but alas! I don't think I'll even get to go shoot once! Full schedules! Thanks for hosting though. I'll try to get in on the next one!

Finally submitting my stab at it. My scores weren't horrible but not great either. My photography skills lack even more.

Interesting.... what class does a Benelli MP95E fall into?

My only rimfire pistol, just need to know before I go buy targets, don't want to spring for $$$ match ammo unless I'm for sure shooting class 4.

By the way, these monthly challenges are getting pretty expensive. I just ordered a .22 conversion for a Glock 19
We recently posted Armscor 36 gr CP HP (1247 fps) for $14.88/500 shipped. For me, Armscor 36 gr CP HP was second most accurate CP 22LR behind Aguila 40 gr CP RN HV (1250 fps), which is pretty good - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...30-for-500-rounds.825048/page-7#post-11157569

My last entry because it is my last .22 to enter. Maybe by next year I'll have more .22 to enter. Ruger MKII with a 5.5 inch I got last year off gun broker. I just can't shoot it as good as the MK1 or it just doesn't shoot as good. While I can score in the 90's pretty easy with the MK1 this MKII is just being stubborn. I tried Winchester, Aquila, Federal and once again I scored best with Thunderbolt just like I did with the MK1. I actually scored a little better at 25 yards than at 15 yards. Aguila jammed a couple times.

I had shot this one last month and intended to bring it out and improve on it. But since that’s not going to happen today, I’ll post the earlier target.

This was a 10” factory .22 barrel that I’d had chopped to 4” and threaded. I then inletted the forend for a 1” OD silencer. I’ve got a couple that I can use, but I like how the stainless looks on it. Makes for a really quiet package.

ok friends went through the entries once again some fine scoring from everybody . After personally doing this challenge there are more .22 I want to buy lol so maybe next time I'll have more to enter, I'm probably going to get a Heritage with adjustable sight also because for $200.00 what they hey. Also wanting a Colt match target also and a S&W .22 magnum revolver.

Looks like conversion kits are capable of decent shooting also based on entries.

So congrats to.....

Class 1 15 yards
garrett with his long ol' barrel Ruger MK2 score 100-3x:thumbup:

Class 2 25 yards
garrett again with the Ruger score 92-2X:thumbup:

Class 3 25 yards with optics

armored farmer using a Ruger MK2 score 98-3x:thumbup:

We are taking a break on the challenges (started by me anyway) maybe a month or two, got some ideas in the works and some suggestions from member will be back soon enough.

Same here, thanks for setting up these challenges. It's a lot of fun to see how well you can do!

Well, I wasn’t able to get to the range in time to enter but I shot the course yesterday anyway and I figured I’d post late.

Stay safe.

Thanks. It allegedly belonged to a female shooter of some fame before I bought it as a consignment. The dealer said she was in her 80’s and wasn’t shooting anymore do she sold off four or five really nice Smith K-frames. I could only afford one so I chose the .22.

I can’t recall her name anymore but the action is as smooth and crisp as any Smith I’ve ever fired. I just wish I shot groups worthy of the gun!

Stay safe.

That's what my P 22 shoots like too. Ruger Mark II taper barrel target model is so much better. Some bright shining day, I will go to the range again and prove it.

I use a 6 o'clock hold on all my handguns. The MKII I shot a target and it shot a little low, I made a sight adjustment and shot the target pictured. The Single 6 I just shot the one group as I was short on time. It had been a year or two since I had shot the MKII, the Single 6 had not been fired in at least 5 or more years.
My biggest problem is eye fatigue, me being at almost retirement age, the eyes are not what they used to be. When I shot the Single 6 the first shot was in the X ring, shot number 2 was the high 10 ring, after that they began to wander. I have a couple more rimfire to try, I my try shooting a round, lowering the gun and after a pause acquiring a sight picture and shooting again, then repeat for 10 rounds
6 o'clock for all iron sights, with range adjustment.
